I bought this product because my cardiologist suggested I use it to fight inflammation. I did some research and found that this product had up to 46 times the rate of absorption compared to some other brands. Hey, if your body doesn't absorb it, are you really getting it? It is advertised for joint mobility but it is stellar for heart health, too. My cardiologist told me that the biggest threat to heart health is inflammation at the cellular level and he said turmeric (more specifically, curcumin, a subset of turmeric) is tested and seen to have beneficial effects.I'm no great believer in health gurus and health supplement advertising, but when my doc tells me straight to my face that I should be taking curcumin (turmeric), I listen. My son is a surgeon at a major American hospital and he confirmed what my cardiologist said. So here I am, getting this supplement. But not just any turmeric supplement -- this one boasts up to 46 times the absorption compared to other brands. I don't know how they do it, but it's in the advertising and so far, no one has sued them for lying about it.Will your body absorb 46 times as much? Probably not, nor will mine, but if this product gets just twice as much of the healthy benefit from this product, then it's worth it to me. My old joints have issues, too, but nothing I can't live with. However, joints can be replaced, but hearts are another matter. Yeah, they can be replaced, too, but with years of drugs and side effects, lots of pain, and at least one other person dead to help you out. I don't like the sounds of that. I think I'll try to avert that scene by taking the stuff my doc tells me I should be taking. This stuff seems to be what I should be taking so I'm doing it. Of course, how will we know if it's working? Check back with me in ten years and if I'm still here, I'd have to say it certainly didn't hurt me.Sometimes you just have to go on faith...

I have been taking this brand of turmeric for a few years. It works on joint pain and swelling. (two broken Knees - lots of pain). You have to take it daily for about 6 mo to see results. Then you can cut back and take it about every other day. Which is what I have done. Sometimes you have to buy different brands to find what works for you. This just happens to be my go to.

Ease of use. Can use as capsule or open capsule and use powder to mix in food. I am using the product to help a pet with health problems.

this tumeric includes an ingredient call Povidone which can potentially cause renal failure in humans plus thyroid problems. why would this be included in this supplement? Amazon won't allow returns on this product so I'll have to toss it out. edit: I contacted Natrol and they said the povidone in their supplement is crospovidone which is something safe and quite different from Povidone-iodine. However, if you do a search for povidone, povidone-iodine is the only result that comes up. they should change the label to properly show this.

I had gastric surgery so taking nsaids is not a thing in take this once a day and have bulging disks this has changed my life the inflammation is gone I can feel the looseness in my back my doctor suggested this and I am so glad he did

I use Natrol products regularly but had a very bad reaction to this after 1 pill within an hour.

A friend of mine with back issues the same as me recommend trying this. I decided to give it a try since it's inexpensive. I take one capsule every day and within three days of taking it began to notice less back pain. My back will never be completely pain free, but anytime I can find something that is helpful and safe to take is a bonus.
