I got the Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencils 0.7mm HB #2 (set) for my kid’s schoolwork and art projects, and they’ve been fantastic. Favorite mechanical pencils, Don’t leave these lying around, they will come up missing.

I absolutely love these more than any other mechanical pencil I have used in my life and I'm 58. I have a background in mechanical drafting before everyone switched to CAD so I was used to using mechanical pencils a lot. I love the way these advance the lead. I only found out recently that if you turn the eraser at the very top then the eraser will advance---something I was wondering about and thinking was a design flaw. Never had problems with lead breaking and easily falling out of the pencil when tipped. I will always buy these.

This is my favorite go to for mechanical as I am a musician and do a lot of writing with pencil. I do suggest you get an eraser a big one to go with it

I needed some mechanical pencils and these are my favorite. The don’t snap off while I am writing and they are easy to refill. I’m not crazy about the eraser but it works ok. Great value for the money.
