Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!
Just picked up a new oil heater and I'm seriously impressed! It's definitely best in class. This thing is incredibly effective at warming up the room quickly. I'm also loving the quality of the build; it feels really solid. Compared to my old one, the energy consumption is way lower, which is a huge plus. Also, it has remote control, nice handling, no smell the first time it's used, and ease of assembly within 5 minutes. It really makes a difference in keeping the place cozy without breaking the bank. If you're looking for an oil heater, this one is a top contender. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

Great
A great heater! We don’t have a big bedroom, and it warms it up from 17°C to 20°C in about half an hour during winter — just perfect. After that, it keeps the temperature steady. The on/off clicks are quiet and don’t disturb us or the baby while we sleep. The remote control is a fantastic bonus — super convenient (even the tape and I can figure it out 😁).

Expensive to run! Zanussi ZOFR5005 2300W
The most important thing to note is that we used this product for a month over the winter to heat up one small 3 x 3 metre room and the electric bill was double what it normally was and all that was different was that we used this heater for 2 hours a night in one room to take the chill off. So be warned about the running costs. Apart from that and if you have money to burn (pun intended) then it works really well, heats up quickly and does heat a room that size well enough after a few hours of running it so long as you use it at the higher temperatures as recommended. It does get very hot to touch especially at the bottom so be careful not to burn yourself. I put my foot on it and it nearly melted my socks! It's also smaller than expected but that didn't seem to affect its heating capacity. It has wheels and a handle so you can roll it around and move it easily. The cord is longer than most but since you have to plug these things directly into the wall rather than an extension cord, options for where to put it are limited - eg we didn't have any furniture to sit on within range of where we could plug it in, so we couldn't sit close to it and weren't about to rearrange the whole room to do (even if we tried it still wouldn't have worked out) so so we couldn't use it in the room we planned to use it in - you really need to be near it to feel the benefit of any heat coming off it. Remote control is very handy so long as you can point it at the display panel on the radiator. This is on the side where the cable originates so it will be pointing at the wall and if you are not between the wall and the radiator then you won't be able to use the remote control to operate the radiator as it needs to have line of sight to the control panel if you see what I mean. Because we had nowhere to sit in that 1.8m length of cable space, we had to get up to point the remote at the panel or turn the radiator back on itself so that the control panel was visible to the remote, but that then made the radiator sit even closer to the wall and away from where we were sitting. 1.8m sounds like a good length, especially compared to some of the others that were 1.4m but it's not really enough to be able to position the radiator in a useful position to where it might be of benefit to cold people sitting on a sofa who want to feel the actual heat coming off the radiator. Reasons for purchasing this one over others - I like Zanussi as a brand, I think they make good products. The cable was longer than most, and it had a remote control, timer and wheels. Also some of the reviews said that these type of electric heaters were more cost effective than say fan heaters but it still cost a lot to run and we had to stop using it because of this.

Works well!
This is the second one we have bought, we used to have a halogen in the bedroom but needed something for all night use. It also uses less power than the halogen, and we have it “just ticking over” so it kicks in when the temperature gets below a certain point. It’s easy to use, having the remote is brilliant as can turn the heat up a bit to warm our room before we get out of bed. Cable length is good so can manoeuvre it easily and it’s well made. And best of all our cats love it :-) Miah’s favourite place is his bed next to the radiator now as you can see. Highly recommended.

Great but watch the running costs!
I simply needed a heater that wasn't as noisy as my air heater or expensive as the central heating to heat 1 room. +Easy set up, attach the wheels and press on. DO NOT USE EXTENSION LEAD, IT WILL BREAK THE LEAD. +Its great to move up right beside your bed or sitting place. +Don't notice anything "cheap" about it, rounded edges and not sharp. +While the remote control won't work if the the black screen on the picture isn't facing you, and moving it up right beside you defeats the purpose, it was for a period nice to just switch it on from a distance. -Watch the energy prices as running this automatically throughout the day will cost >£5 a day easily. From my use, turned off while asleep and using all day while awake and sensible temperature and power below 3 bars, it adds about £2-3 per day to electricity costs and this is 0 degrees outside to a comfortable temperature all day not just a little less bite from the cold. I don't recommend choosing the full power 3 bars because if you forget to turn it off or low you may lose up to £10 a day (done it once left on all day and while asleep). Room has a high ceiling and about 3x5x3m. -I'd estimate a savings of 20-30% compared to gas where it heats up a room I don't use automatically. If the temperature starts to hit -3 then it might be better to start using gas again. It will heat the room but you'll need 3 bars and it running twice as much. -it doesn't make my dinner nor listen to my problems.

These heat well, but the thermostat is very inaccurate
Firstly these heat up quickly an cost about 60p/h Don't rely on the thermostat, turn to max to warm the room up, then turn it down, otherwise it heats for a bit, turns off I guess to check the temperature, and then will tum on again to start heating again. BEWARE - THE RADIATOR WILL NOT TURN BACK ON AFTER A POWER CUT. I have had 2 power cuts and have woken up to very cold room, as the radiator does not resume - You need to manually turn it back on. This is the only downside I have noticed in nearly 2 years.
