Safe and mild, yet affective. Used it to clean grime and dirt from old sewing machines without damaging finish. I recommend this product to hobbiest for restoration projects.

Used this stuff as a kid 60 years ago in England when helping my Dad. It works just as well now as it did then. Happy to know it’s still available. TBH I’d forgotten all about it but then found myself wishing they still made it after having found nothing today that works as well. Swarfega is the best!

Half the contents was missing when it arrived and the lid was dirty -it appears that it had already been used - what the hell!

I tried this because I saw an advertisement claiming it removed grease from clothes. It doesn't work as was claimed. And is messy to use

I had a pot of Swarfega for many years which I used not only for oily hands but also oil on my clothing. As an avid cyclist the latter is a frequent problem. Having at last run out, when a particularly expensive piece of technical cycling clothing somehow developed the imprint of a bike chain across the front, I bought a new pot, choosing the classic original variety because I know it works. I was not disappointed. Although it is always wise to test out any cleaning agent on a hidden away piece of the garment before using in earnest, I have never ever had a discolouration problem with Swarfega, despite having to rub it into the oily mark sometimes for several minutes in order to get the last traces out. In my experience it does not remove the clothing dye, or even leave a slightly dark patch after use. It even works if the article has already been through one or more washing machine cycles before the oil mark is noticed. Excellent!
