I have used a large variety of cold medicines with my children and Umcka is my top choice. I like the liquid formula of the children's medicine because it contains more than 10 doses and is very effective. This has been a true remedy and reduced symptoms quickly and helped both my kids heal. I am tremendously glad that I have this on hand for colds. I do recommend this version and it will continue to be in my supplies.

Didn’t notice the age limit on this so I just kept it for my oldest. The taste is good which my kid likes and didn’t hate it. Value for money and an affordable price.

I have issues with my lungs. Asthma and a nodule that gets irritated occasionally. Anyway, a few years ago when I had bronchitis, my doctor recommended that I use Umcka. Her husband is a lung specialist and she said she is not usually big on "alternative" things but that her husband insists that Umcka be kept in stock at their house and she and her family have been pleased with the results of using Umcka when they have upper respiratory issues. So, I gave umcka and try and I did get better. The rest of my family has used it since and we notice that our symptoms are less severe and last a shorter time than others we know with the same "bug". So, Umcka lives 365 days a year in our house and it gets used every time some new upper respiratory bug comes along. Good stuff. Also like the "Children's Cough Syrup" (for adults too) and the hot drink variety.

I use this as recommended, but I also use this syrup when I need to dose my kids with something that I know they aren't going to like. I've tried to hide the taste of stuff with juices and other syrups, but this is the only one that both my kids (even when they were little) would take their medicine when mixed with this. Or use it as a chaser. I'm not talking a tablespoon of medicine. Usually the stuff my kids take is herbal or homeopathic, so the dose is super small. The homeopathic doesn't need help. But the herbs are frequently spit up, and the kids run away from me whenever they see the bottle dropper again. So for example, I'll put a 1/2 teaspoon in a little medicine measuring cup that usually comes with OTC pediatric medicines, and then 15 drops of the nasty stuff; I'll suck it all up into a pediatric oral syringe, and they trust that it's not going to be nasty. They'll stand at my feet like little birdies waiting for their dose. I think the syringe helps with medicine; you taste it less. I also use the chewables, which both children love. I have to keep it up high so that they don't get into it like candy.

I swear by this Umcka product for aborting and/or minimizing symptoms and the duration of those symptoms with any type of cold, bronchitis, upper and lower respiratory illnesses. If I take this at the start or the first couple of days of symptoms the symptoms either never get to the full blown stage OR the symptoms are minimized and duration shortened. It is the ingredient which is from a medicinal plant called Pelargonium sidoides which is what shortens the duration and reduces severity of upper respiratory symptoms. I find it also helps with the bronchial symptoms as well like coughing. It has a pleasant cherry flavor that does not offend me or anyone in my family when we are feeling ill. We are ages 7 on up to adult so it is good for all ages. You just adjust the amount taken by age. Good medicine here that works in my experience. Have been using it for a few years now!
