Replaced worn part
We acquired a used Samsung Washer and Dryer, and the washer (WF42H5200AF/A2) was loud from the beginning. I never had time to look into it, but it also felt like an old washer where the balance was off. Started shaking and vibrating and the drum sounded super loud. Stupid me I should have looked into it sooner but the bearings were going out. There's a youtube video (you can search for this: CNDuuHvrzPE or James Fix It! channel) that shows what ours sounded like when we got it and after I fixed it. We came back from a camping trip and on the last load, the drum stopped spinning. Pro Tip - research this before you need to fix it and wait a week for parts. But you're probably here now b/c you need parts. Sorry man. Long story short, I replaced the spider arm, both bearings, and the bearing seal. I also tried to replace the suspension but the off brand parts were garbage and ended up making the drum hit the side of the housing. Overall the process was a bit expensive for all the parts, but not difficult. I used an impact driver and socket set to speed up removal, but reinstalled all bolts/screws by hand to not break them. Definitely appears to be a daunting task, but most people that are good with some basic hand tools could handle this. As for this particular spider arm: it fits, has the right tolerances, and it hasn't failed yet and we've done about 20-30 loads since installing. I went with whatever part was cheapest because these parts are just not capable of lasting more than 5-6 years anyway. It's aluminum with a steel shaft, where those metals come in contact causes 'galvanic corrosion' - if you're interested, you should look into it. Some laundry detergents can accelerate this. Regardless, this part will fail again at some point, this ain't gonna be grandma's legacy washing machine that ran forever. I saw a video where someone had their part powder coated. That's fine and might slow the corrosion, but it won't prevent it because the steel and aluminum are still in direct contact. Personally, I just plan on replacing this part and bearings again in about 5 years - or whenever I hear that bearing whine again. Anyway, with what I've seen, I'd buy this part again. If it fails in a much shorter time and this product page still exists, I'll update the review.

Perfect fit
You have to take the washer completely apart to replace, but this was a perfect fit and came with new bolts, which you will need because the original ones snap in half trying to remove them. Takes a little time but is pretty straightforward to replace. If there is slack in the drum or it makes a knocking or clicking noise, it’s likely this.

Brought my Samsung Washer Back to Life!!
My Samsung front load drum was banging around like crazy and this solved the problem! Brought my Samsung front load washer back to life. I like to use original parts when repairing appliances and this did not disappoint. The repair is intimidating, but with patience and time, it is rather easy to complete.

Didn't last
Last a month before it broke again. Not an easy install and takes times. So sucks that it broke so fast.

Replacement for WF42H5000AW/A2. It was a perfect fit came with the screws which is a big plus. When removing the old part you can count on breaking the screws. It took over a week to arrive, Installed easily with no issues . Photo of broken Spider and the new replacement. Works as it should once installed

The part was good and easy to install. How ever it took one more week for me to receive it. The price was a bit higher than my current supplier. At the end the customer was happy the washer machine was fixed and running.

Purchased to install when I replaced worn out bearings in my Samsung washing machine. I used YouTube videos as instructions and managed to replace all the parts myself. Saved $600-800 and the job was pretty easy but time consuming. Purchase this if doing bearings as it can apparently be a big fail point later on. Make sure you get the bolts/ screws with it. I had two of the originals snap off when replacing. This is apparently to be expected. The old one was absolutely filthy. Looked like it was found at a shipwreck in a lake that had been submerged for a few decades. Washer is completely silent now. Spins great.
