Disgusting smell. When you sniff it out of the bottle, it smells faintly like chocolate and then on the skin- NO NO NO! It has a synthetic perfume smell reminiscent of cheap drug store perfume that lingers forever with the smallest amount. This should not be marketed as chocolate scented lotion. Gross.

Pleasantly surprised by this lotion. There is a lovely chocolate undertone to a soft, almost powdery scent. The pairing is surprisingly pretty and very pleasing. I like that the lotion isn’t full on bakery sweets, and the layered scent gives some nice depth and tone to the fragrance. The lotion is soft and non-greasy. Will definitely buy again.

This lotion is ok... Opened it right up applied it, application was not greasy or sticky and makes my skin softer without a greasy sheen, the smell is subtle and on the sweeter but soft side but it really barely smells like chocolate kept smelling it and I'd get a wiff of chocolate once out of the six times smelling it. Had my son smell it and he admits although the scent is nice it's not very chocolatey smelling at all. And for the price for lotion you'd think they'd have the scent of what's it's advertised as. Kinda disappointed

I want to clarify that I have been on the search for a lotion without a super heavy scent that I wouldn't get sick of and didn't feel sticky for a very long time. I have tried nearly every lotion from bath and body works to sephora. This is the one for me! It smells very much like dark chocolate, a little bitter sweet, when you first put it on, but the smell within the next few minutes is very pleasant and definitely chocolate while not being overpowering either. It's a soft chocolate smell that lingers Forever. My husband thinks it smells amazing too and he's super picky! It's also not sticky at all, and very moisturizing. I put it on after getting out of the shower and it soaks right in with no residue. This lotion is perfect! I also ordered the parfum to match because I love how this smells so much!

I was looking for a lotion which is scented with Chocolate/ cacao. This “ chocolate lotion” is more musk (musky fragrance is not my favorite) than it is chocolate, the musk scent is very overpowering in my opinion. If you care for musky fragrance, then you probably would like this lotion. Also the body lotion is very light, runny and has more water content VS body cream which contains more oil and therefore thicker and more emollient.

To me the scent is chocolatey but doesn’t overwhelm - which is purely subjective. The lotion is not very thick but it smooths on easy and a little goes a long way. I have made my tube last for months. Unfortunately this is something that a review won’t help till you try it for yourself. I hope it works out for you.

I used to order a lotion from Avon that smelled like chocolate and kept my skin so smooth. Avon has discontinued that lotion. So, for years, I have searched for a lotion that would come close to the lotion I used to order from Avon. This is not even close. This lotion smells like paint. It is horrible. I trashed it.
