Wilton 704-9987 Clear Piping Gel 10 oz(283 oz), Packaging May Vary

I bought this to stabilize my whipped cream so it will last two-three days. It works! I haven't tried it for frosting, but I would think it would work.

In previous years, I've used clear gel, by customer request, to write on cakes. However, in this instance, my granddaughter created an "Insane Pools," per the tv show, designed 100% by her. I think she did a great job at only 7 y.o. I only baked the cake. She did everything else. Of course we needed gel for a swimming pool and a koi pond. Found this product quite easy to work with. It had very little flavor. Note that it is extremely sticky. I'm glad that I've watched probably every episode of "Cake Boss," which has helped me understand exactly what I needed to purchase and how to create "water." It was great fun with this product. BTW, I did use a piping bag, just to insure proper and "clean" application.

Easy to use very good product

I like to keep this piping gel on hand not just for decorating but for writing names on birthday cakes when I’ve run out of frosting. It’s so nice to be able to just pull it out of the cupboard and put it in a piping bag after mixing in some gel coloring and have it ready to go in a minute rather than making up a new batch of frosting. It’s also nice if o find I’ve run out of powdered sugar and one of our younger kids just won’t be ok with their cake not having their name on it. It’s inexpensive and handy to have on hand. Taste wise it’s sweet but that’s it which is ok for the small amount that might be on any one piece.

It worked ok... Nothing special about it.. It takes way longer to stick than using the chocolate that you're working with.. I gave it 4 stars because I didn't expect it to be such a big container. It'll likely be wasted in my home cause it doesn't work as fast as chocolate, but one of you might like it..

I have been using this product for years. It is the best one on the market.

This piping gel was a lifesaver while making gingerbread houses with my kids aged 3 to 14 years. You can easily spread this gel on a gingerbread peace, or a cookie, everything sticks to it perfectly, and of course it’s edible. I cannot attest to its value on cakes, but I do know that when we used royal icing it was a big mess vs no mess with this gel.

I use this to apply my edible images to my cookies and it works perfectly
