Nice upgrade.
I upgraded the 1.5 hp motor on my old Sears table saw to this 3 hp motor. Wow! What a difference. The motor can be easily wired for 110 or 220 and CW or CCW rotation. I changed my power source to 220. This upgrade really powers the saw, no more stalls, or triping the breaker. And it powers right thru 1.5-2" oak planks. Wish I did this long ago. The motor is also sealed, and will keep out sawdust.

Decent for furnace fan motor
Big step up from my crappy 1/3hp Dayton. The capacitor start makes it start fast without excessive power drain. Can't beat it for the price we will see how long it lasts.

Cheap, works, but not for the average person
Bought this to convert a hand cranked sugarcane presser. Works perfectly as intended. Does need a bit of technical skill to read the wiring diagram and connect to a switch and extension cord. Do not buy and expect it to be a plug and play item.

power
I purchased this motor for a replacement for my craftsman table saw. It made a huge difference. The saw never stalls out when cutting thicker hardwoods. The original motor was rated 1 1/2 hp. I checked the amperage on the craftsman with a Fluke amp probe and got 5.5amps. The saw was sold as a 3hp.model. The voltage at the receptacle was 124 volts. 124 x 5.5 amps= 682 watts. There are 746 watts in 1 hp. It comes out to .914 hp. This motor came wired for counter clockwise rotation so i had to change the motor leads. They did not send a schematic for reversing the rotation. For clockwise rotation tie T1to T5 and T2 to T8. For counterclockwise tie T1to T8

Good motor at a good price
Good motor at a good price. Electrical knockouts were absolutely horrible to get out, but if everything in the world was perfect then there wouldn’t be much to fix.
