legit plug and play - works right out of the box
very impressed. i plugged this into my HP windows 11 laptop, expecting a confusing installation process, but nothing happened. so i go to my settings, look at the device manager, and the mic was already recognized, plus it automatically became the default. nice! i went to update the drivers, and it was already up to date. this is true plug and play. i got the white color, and it looks very sleek. i appreciate that it came with a mic stand because i would have totally forgotten about that. the sound is nice and clear, no buzzing or interference. if you're looking for a cheap budget mic, spend an extra $10 now and get this one instead. the quality is significantly better plus it'll last longer, it's a worthwhile investment.

Punching 2 to 3 times Its Price!
So I got this microphone with no particular expectations, but I did need a microphone to have at a secondary location. However, my budget would not allow me to get what I use for the content I normally correct which is Marantz MPM-2000u Microphone. The TLDR is I am beyond impressed with the sound quality of this microphone for the price of admission. So lets get into the list of pros and cons! Pros: -Universal Plug and Play- Plug in and just works (tested on MacOS Catalina, Windows 10, and Manjaro Linux) -Solid build quality (has a nice metal feel and weight to it even though its much smaller than my Marantz) -Sound quality- I could rant and rave for hours about this but my expectation were low and I have now had to readjust what my expectations of the sound quality of lower cost mics do to this one. ( I would put the sound quality just slightly behind the Blue Yeti) -Price- The barrier to entry for Podcasting, Gaming, content creation etc just got lowered. This is hands down a great starting microphone for any new content creator, or gamer looking for a low cost streaming microphone. -Physical Volume Control- This has a physical volume button on the actual microphone which is a great thing to have if you have ever done any audio recordings (this is something my 100+ dollar Marantz mic doesnt even have) Cons -No headphone jack- So you cant monitor your own audio but given the price it is understandable -USB cord- The USB cord is built into the mic so it is not replaceable cord is decent length but could be maybe just a bit longer though at this price for the microphone does it really matter? -Sound quality- I know i put this as a pro a very big one this is more for audiophiles etc. While this mic punches in a weight class 2 to 3 times its price in sound quality, this mic will pick up some background noise that those more expensive mic more than likely wont. Those are really the only "Cons" and they are not really cons more critiques for Fifine for when they do their next version of this mic. This is a quality microphone hitting well above its weight class.

Another functional and well built condenser mic
I purchased this mic for voice over work and I am pleasantly surprised. The mic is a definite step up from the K056 that I had earlier. My K056 was my go to mic when I was at my home office and I wanted another low cost alternative for when I am recording on the go. I also use a Blue Snowball but the large round shape of that mic and it's propensity to capture too mic background noise made it less than ideal for travel. This Fifine mic is much nicer than the K056 in almost every conceivable way except in the most important way. It's sound capture is pretty much identical to what I was getting from the previous model. The fact that the unit does not ship with a pop filter or foam wind cover is a major disadvantage considering the previous unit did ship with a cover. Aesthetically the mic is nicer looking with a black mesh rather than the gaudy gold, and the body of the mic is about half the size of it's predecessor. The mic only features an on-board volume control (rather than the volume and echo control featured on the K056) and the mic attaches directly to the tripod...so no more ugly plastic gator clip. The streamlined USB Direct cord rather than an XLR corded by USB and 38mm audio plug is much nicer and puts it on par with the Blue Snowball ICE in terms of quality and ease of use. At the end of the day the mic does exactly what it needs to do for half the cost of similar name brand mics... just be sure to pick up a pop filter and foam cover and you'll be very happy with this purchase.

I'm no expert but it's nice
I use this microphone for my silly Discord calls. It comes out clear and does a nice job at not catching every noise in the background. There's a nice sensitivity knob at the front of the mic I have mine set to a little over half and that seems to do a good job.

High quality for a steal. This mic is worth way more!
3 stars for voice recognition because I've never tried using it that way and have no need to. Consider the 3 stars to be a neutral rating. No mute switch or button, but I generally don't need it. Turning the volume dial to mute works well enough. Very useful thing to have since Discord isn't always consistent in volume levels. I can just turn the dial instead of having to fight Discord or mess with system volume. High quality sound. No graininess, no buzz. Only picks up my own sound directly in front of it. Don't have to have it super close or far away. Simply sit it on my desk and boom, off and away with no fuss. Plus I love purple and the "pink" color is close enough to purple that I like it and my boyfriend doesn't want to steal it. Only possible criticisms are the slightly lower quality of the plastic stand and tightness knob. I don't really move it around or adjust tightness so durability shouldn't be a problem for me, but it may not last so long for others who adjust it regularly. Couple that part with the stand's not so great ability to counteract the top heavy mic and you might be dropping it on the desk at times. It only needs to be raised about 10-15 degrees before toppling over. Overall I am very happy with this mic. Great product, great company.

Works great... while it works
I enjoyed this microphone... while it worked. I use it to record instruments and it worked great. Sound quality was good--not spectacular, b/c you get what you pay for, but good enough for my projects. It cut a lot of the background noise and really did a great job for an inexpensive mic. However, now, when I record anything other than voice recordings, it doesn't pick up properly. My beautiful harp sounds like a banjo. So... if you are only using it for voice recordings, you are probably good to go, but for anything else I would would skip it. Edit: I had to amend my review a bit because--while I still would think hard about using this microphone for instruments--the seller reached out and was great about finding a fix. So while this might not work long term for me, if you want to try it and take your chances, the company is great.

Best in it's class, and the little brother of the K670
I've been a fan of five fine products ever since I started using them. And earlier this year I got the K670 model and man was that microphone great. The fact I've used it ever since despite having many other microphones. so what's the difference between the k669 and the K670? Well aside from at least $20 oh, there are a few Minor Details. one this one doesn't have a headphone jack. And to it does not have a full metal weighted stand. also the audio quality is very slightly cheaper, being not as rich as its bigger brother the K 670. Why am I comparing these two models so heavily? Well as you can see in the name of the product they're very similar and model number. That's because they share a lot of the same makeup. and don't get me wrong they are very similar. But there are a couple of distinct differences just like you would expect an anything that has a more expensive more Superior version. does that devalue the five fine k669? Not at all. You see nearly half the price at offers most of the same things minus a few extra features. you have to be listening very carefully or have a very Discerning ear to be able to pick up on the difference. Most uses in gaming and even maybe podcast. It should do just fine enough in fact Superior too competing brands at this price point. Even the nearly completely metal design feels far more premium than some of its competition. the fact that has a dedicated volume knob to adjust the the microphone sensitivity is great and even the fact that the tripod spreads a little wider for more stability is a nice forethought. Even though I'm not a fan of tripods on desk microphones. So for the value that this microphone delivers and the quality I know is there, it's an easy five star rating from me. If you can afford it, and you're looking for something with a slight better Edge then I would recommend going for its bigger brother the K670. But at the price point of the K669, in its class, it’s and easy win and easy recommendation.

Easy to install and use.
Works well, at a very attractive price. Installation was automatic in Windows 11. I've been told that sound quality is very good by others on a Teams meeting.
