legit plug and play - works right out of the box
very impressed. i plugged this into my HP windows 11 laptop, expecting a confusing installation process, but nothing happened. so i go to my settings, look at the device manager, and the mic was already recognized, plus it automatically became the default. nice! i went to update the drivers, and it was already up to date. this is true plug and play. i got the white color, and it looks very sleek. i appreciate that it came with a mic stand because i would have totally forgotten about that. the sound is nice and clear, no buzzing or interference. if you're looking for a cheap budget mic, spend an extra $10 now and get this one instead. the quality is significantly better plus it'll last longer, it's a worthwhile investment.

Punching 2 to 3 times Its Price!
So I got this microphone with no particular expectations, but I did need a microphone to have at a secondary location. However, my budget would not allow me to get what I use for the content I normally correct which is Marantz MPM-2000u Microphone. The TLDR is I am beyond impressed with the sound quality of this microphone for the price of admission. So lets get into the list of pros and cons! Pros: -Universal Plug and Play- Plug in and just works (tested on MacOS Catalina, Windows 10, and Manjaro Linux) -Solid build quality (has a nice metal feel and weight to it even though its much smaller than my Marantz) -Sound quality- I could rant and rave for hours about this but my expectation were low and I have now had to readjust what my expectations of the sound quality of lower cost mics do to this one. ( I would put the sound quality just slightly behind the Blue Yeti) -Price- The barrier to entry for Podcasting, Gaming, content creation etc just got lowered. This is hands down a great starting microphone for any new content creator, or gamer looking for a low cost streaming microphone. -Physical Volume Control- This has a physical volume button on the actual microphone which is a great thing to have if you have ever done any audio recordings (this is something my 100+ dollar Marantz mic doesnt even have) Cons -No headphone jack- So you cant monitor your own audio but given the price it is understandable -USB cord- The USB cord is built into the mic so it is not replaceable cord is decent length but could be maybe just a bit longer though at this price for the microphone does it really matter? -Sound quality- I know i put this as a pro a very big one this is more for audiophiles etc. While this mic punches in a weight class 2 to 3 times its price in sound quality, this mic will pick up some background noise that those more expensive mic more than likely wont. Those are really the only "Cons" and they are not really cons more critiques for Fifine for when they do their next version of this mic. This is a quality microphone hitting well above its weight class.

Another functional and well built condenser mic
I purchased this mic for voice over work and I am pleasantly surprised. The mic is a definite step up from the K056 that I had earlier. My K056 was my go to mic when I was at my home office and I wanted another low cost alternative for when I am recording on the go. I also use a Blue Snowball but the large round shape of that mic and it's propensity to capture too mic background noise made it less than ideal for travel. This Fifine mic is much nicer than the K056 in almost every conceivable way except in the most important way. It's sound capture is pretty much identical to what I was getting from the previous model. The fact that the unit does not ship with a pop filter or foam wind cover is a major disadvantage considering the previous unit did ship with a cover. Aesthetically the mic is nicer looking with a black mesh rather than the gaudy gold, and the body of the mic is about half the size of it's predecessor. The mic only features an on-board volume control (rather than the volume and echo control featured on the K056) and the mic attaches directly to the tripod...so no more ugly plastic gator clip. The streamlined USB Direct cord rather than an XLR corded by USB and 38mm audio plug is much nicer and puts it on par with the Blue Snowball ICE in terms of quality and ease of use. At the end of the day the mic does exactly what it needs to do for half the cost of similar name brand mics... just be sure to pick up a pop filter and foam cover and you'll be very happy with this purchase.

Want a reliable microphone but have a tight budget? Then look no further, you have found the one!
I have owned this mic for over 6 years and I still use it every week with no issues. This is a serious BANG for your buck, if you have a tight budget and need a mic, this one will go the distance for you (especially when paired with the Nvidia Broadcast software on PC's with Nvidia graphics cards, this Mic levels up into a whole new beast.)

Take recording to a whole new level.
Recently I have been using the microphone on my laptop more and more not only just for social media but to also record short tutorial videos on different crafts that I do. The pre-installed microphones that come with most computers these days are very poor in there recording quality so I started shopping for an external microphone. When I came across this microphone I read the description and it sounded much easier to use than others I had looked at so I decided to give it a try. I am sure glad that I picked this one. While I am not challenged when it comes to technology, I would rather keep it simple so that I can spend my time using new equipment than setting it up. I was a bit skeptical that it would not be as easy as it was but it is. The only thing you really need to do is pull it out of the box and plug it in. It connects via a USB cable so for those of us that have laptops with only one multipurpose jack this works perfect because there are no complications or adapters needed to be up and running. I plugged it into my laptop and opened up my voice recorder to put it to the test. My computer had already defaulted to the new microphone and all I had to do was adjust the volume. The recording quality is clear and crisp in normal speaking voice with no need to yell or raise your voice. I set it up just to the right of my laptop and didn’t need to lean over to directly speak into the microphone as it has that good of a quality. There is a volume knob on the unit itself so that you can adjust the volume to what you need at the time so the recording quality is just perfect. This particular microphone also had a great appeal to me as it is the square design with a shiny pink metallic body which appealed to me being pink is my favorite color. It comes with a mini tripod that you attach to the base of the microphone. The head of the microphone can adjust up and down and the tripod sits at the perfect speaking level. No additional drivers or software is needed to be installed, it is that simple. With an all metal construction including the tripod you know you are getting a good quality product.

Works great... while it works
I enjoyed this microphone... while it worked. I use it to record instruments and it worked great. Sound quality was good--not spectacular, b/c you get what you pay for, but good enough for my projects. It cut a lot of the background noise and really did a great job for an inexpensive mic. However, now, when I record anything other than voice recordings, it doesn't pick up properly. My beautiful harp sounds like a banjo. So... if you are only using it for voice recordings, you are probably good to go, but for anything else I would would skip it. Edit: I had to amend my review a bit because--while I still would think hard about using this microphone for instruments--the seller reached out and was great about finding a fix. So while this might not work long term for me, if you want to try it and take your chances, the company is great.

I'm no expert but it's nice
I use this microphone for my silly Discord calls. It comes out clear and does a nice job at not catching every noise in the background. There's a nice sensitivity knob at the front of the mic I have mine set to a little over half and that seems to do a good job.

Great little mic!
I bought this as my first upgrade but still at a beginner’s level. What I love: It’s super easy to use. You literally just plug it in and it’s ready to go. It immediately improved my audio quality and therefore also made my editing a lot easier too. What is just so-so: It is nice is that it does come with its own tripod but it isn’t very pose-able. The mic itself can only be tilted up or down and the tripod can only able to be used in the position shown in the photos. But it sits well and is very sturdy. I read about this brand in a book by a long time VO and it was the brand he started his career with. Pink is my favorite color; so this to me is super cute I can’t wait to try it with a mic stand. It has a USB plug and play cord and so far that is working well. At this point I’m not sure about the durability but it has a nice solid feel so I’m guessing that it is well built but I will only know that for certain after using it for some time. So far one week into using it and I am very happy with this purchase. I can see using it for quite a while to get up and going before I’m ready for another upgrade. For the price point 5 stars.
