Perfect fit and function for a Bosch 4000 table saw
Wiring it back together (in a way that wouldn't vibrate loose) was the hardest part. My saw works like new. I bought the saw used but it didn't run correctly. I looked inside and found this (see photo, notice the self tapping screw). I'm also including a couple of photos to show the correct wiring in case you remove yours without first photographing it as I almost did.

I have a working saw!
First, the internet says that if you're experiencing speed issues with your Bosch table saw, it's likely the speed control board. Mine was turning slowly and in the proper direction. If that board replacement doesn't do the trick, next up is the winding. Viola, working saw! Install process is fairly simple. Three philips screws to take off the wiring cover. Take a picture of how it went together and then unwire everything (seriously, do this). Then 4 screws for the housing. Pull the whole thing right off the armature and bearing. Remove the brushes from the side of the housing. Two bolts hold the winding inside the housing (8mm). Take a big ass screwdriver and push the winding out of the housing from the back (it is wedged up there really good, it will take some force). Remove and replace the winding in the same orientation, get the wires through the back properly and then slide on the contacts. Make sure the bolts line up with the holes properly (easier said than done) and then tighten. Slide the housing back on the armature, rewire, reinstall brushes, screws, and you're done. Took me ~1 hour? Wiring - black coming in from power goes to blue for the speed board. White coming in from power goes to white on winding. Black from speed board goes to black on winding. Long wire with crimped connector from the speed board (color varies, sometimes white, sometimes black) goes to the connector that wires to one of the brushes. Not that tough to figure out.

Exactly what I needed
My saw barely spun when turned on. When I tried to troubleshoot it, it went up in smoke. Bought this field and fixed it for a small cost. Fit perfectly.

This was what was needed.
I looked up my machine symptom online and this part came up as the possible culprit. It was indeed the problem part. A quick search on Amazon and I found the part, it was an exact match, and came shipped direct to my company. I was happy with the packaging and the quality of care that came with this replacement part.

Exactly what I needed. My saw is back up and running. I thought I was going to have to buy a new table saw.
