Quality product
A good and well made product. Lid and tap included, comes with a three part stand as well so you don't need to buy one. This is my second Harcostar water butt, bought to replace a different brand that had split. My first one has been in service for many years.

Excellent water butt
This is a solid water butt, which I am using in my allotment. I did not use the base that came with the butt. Instead, I ordered a separate Harcostar stand. The tap does not leak once it is fitted with some PTFE tape.

Good product but installation needs to be sturdy!
This is a reasonably sturdy water butt with a large capacity and supplied with a tap. It's a large unit and if it ever rains again will prove to be very heavy. I used a base from the leaky butt that was being replaced, and felt the need to reinforce this to minimise any risk of instability. I can recommend this for the reasonable price, good capacity and good build quality. Just make sure that you have plenty of space when installing.

Large water butt
Good size water butt, strong plastic, not cheap and flimsy holds plenty of water, large, comes with tap, although could if done with a stand as the tap is too far down to the ground, not sure how I will fill a container ,as a container wouldn't go underneath the tap, must invest in a stand, delivery was very quick, all in all I'd say good value for money

GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY
WE THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT TIME WE REPLACED OUR WATER THE LAST ONE WE PURCHASED WAS ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO SO I THINK SAYS IT ALL ABOUT THE QUALITY & THE TAP IS MORE ACCESSIBLE THAN THE OLD MODEL & ALSO A BETTER FITTING LID SO THAT'S A BIG THUMBS UP

Bad value
Unhappy with this tub, don’t know about child safe but it’s adult safe needed crowbar to lever the lid of also there was no stand supplied furthermore no drain pipe feed for filling the butt. One thing there was the essential drain tap provided. My previous Harcostar butt came with stand, drain pipe connection, tandem butt overflow pipe with fittings things you need for installation as this is necessary. RBN

Great Quality
This water butt is very solid a great quality, unlike some you see in DIY stores. If your in the market for a water butt, I can’t recommend this enough, you won’t be disappointed in its quality.

Water butt
I purchased these in my attempts to make my water bills less during the summer months. They seem to be made of thicker plastic than some I've seen and that has to be a good thing as when they are full, there is a lot of weight and water pressure inside them. I especially like the size of them as it is surprising how much water one gets through during a dry spell in the summer. The first one I bought lasted a couple of years and, being pleased with it, I bought a second one. However, soon afterwards, the first one developed a leak along the bottom weld. I was able to stop the leak using waterproof tape but it wasn't long before the second butt also developed a leak, again along the bottom weld. So mixed feelings about them; good size, quite well made but not everlasting. One final thing worth mentioning; they have a good child-proof cover - essential for anyone with inquisitive small children.
