Perfect for Europe for several reasons
This suitcase is ultra lightweight and just the right size carry on size for European airlines such as TapAir. It measures to the max size allowed, so you can carry on as much as possible. The design and compartments are convenient and allow you to pack You can quickly convert it to backpack mode if you encounter bumpy surfaces where rolling is difficult, such as cobblestone sidewalks in Europe. I thought the side clips were a hassle to unfasten and didn’t seem to have a purpose so I cut them off.

good bag, actual dimensions
I have not used this bag yet but I do like it. I bought it b/c on my last trip my back went completely "out" right before the trip (I made it, but husband had to carry all bags, and I used a cane & hobbled, which has it's convenient advantages ;-) I think this will be a fine addition to my repertoire of bags for certain occasions (i.e. back gives out). It will not hold quite as much as my normal cabin max backpack which does not roll (discontinued) and will remain my go-to for that reason (plus it is less than 2 lbs). My outside maximum measurements (for purposes of airline compatibility): 21.5 h x 14-7/8 w x 8.5 d (depth depending on how much you fill it of course ... I was just measuring the "frame") weight: 3.55 lbs (i.e. 3 lb 8-7/8 oz) The handle oddly enough is not the high point ... there is a rigid plastic frame which might can squeeze/depress slightly, but only slightly (if sizing is a problem in one of those airline sizers). The width, which is on the bottom, is very rigid and cannot be fudged. I mention all this in the event one takes one of those strict airlines. when used as backpack, the backing does unzip & rollback easy & velcros pretty well closed, although as someone mentioned, you can see the wheels a little if one looks closely. Oddly, the extra padding this backing provided on the bottom did not increase the measurements. To convert back & forth really doesn't seem a hassle to me, as someone else mentioned they thought it was. the zippers seem really heavy duty as is the material. Not sure why someone says it won't carry much weight, but when I do use it, I know I will stress the limits allowed by airlines.

Very good for on the go
This is the perfect bag if you commit to packing light (we bought separately packing cubes which made it perfect to keep the main compartment organized) It fits easily on the overhead compartments of airplanes and European trains. My husband and I each had one, traveled for 10 days - packed all we needed without having to wash clothes (we re-used packed 3 sets of pants) it was perfect to wheel at airports and trains stations, super easy to convert into to a backpack to walk through cobblestone streets and crowds. The handle for the wheeler part seem a bit fragile, it worked just fine for all of our trip but wonder how long it will last, it is not a expensive product so for the price if very adequate

Great bag
Excellent bag for 10 day trip. I was looking for a carry on backpack to avoid checking in my luggage. This backpack passed all requirements for carry on.

great for travel in Europe
We have traveled to Italy once with this bag, and once with its smaller cousin, the 40L version. Flew on Alitalia with this bag overhead - although I did pay the luggage fee because of the weight, but was only about a kg or two over the limit. The bag is large enough to carry three weeks worth of clothes (see Rick Steves packing list), but had to do laundry once about half way thru the trip. A trip to a laundramat is its own experience in a foreign country, and allows you to interact with the locals. It traveled well on trains and on streets - the backpack straps were a bonus that were never needed. I highly recommend this bag if you want to travel light.

Good enough, could use some improvements
Overall good, could be better. Pros: light enough to use as a back pack, versatile can be used as a roller bag when you get too tired, run out of energy during your trip Cons: It is difficult to transition from being a back pack to a roller bag. The back pack straps have to be zipped inside the compartment. The flap of said compartment needs to be folder over the wheels when you are using it as a backpack. As with all cabin max can be expanded, you have to use the side straps to make it thin enough to fit the overhead bin. The width of the base(rigid part) where the wheels attach barely fits the overhead bin of a CRJ-200.

Just got back from my first trip with this bag and I couldn't be happier. When I go to visit my family I have to go by bus, plane, two tubes, train and then bus again, so I really need the flexibility this case offers. It really is so much easier changing tubes with the bag used as a rucksack instead of lugging it up and down stairs. And then, if I need to pull it along, I can quickly convert it to a trolley again. Love the way the wheels are covered when not in use, very clever, simple design. The capacity is amazing, really does make the most of all the space available. Another advantage for me is that this is almost 1.5kg lighter than my previous cabin trolley, which means I either travel lighter or can fit more in without exceeding the 10kg allowance on the flight. It seems well made, but I won't be able to comment on its endurance until I've used it a bit more. For now, I really couldn't be happier, especially for the price. Highly recommended.
