Great and Safe Space Heater - Has Worked for Years
I bought three of these for our home because this type of heater was the only space heater the insurance company would let us buy for the office where I worked. I felt these De'Longhi Oil Filled Radiator Heaters were the safest ones for our home as well. They have worked very well for us and still work well for warmth in far rooms years after I bought them here. We also have an earlier De'Longhi one, of a little different design, that I bought over 20 years ago that is still going strong and it is the reason I stuck with this particular brand name.

Works well, perfectly quiet.
*original review* Mine sounds like a machine gun when it cycles off and on. You would think a company that builds heaters out of metal would figure out how to mitigate noise from expansion and contraction and keep them quiet. Maybe i just got a defective unit... *Second unit* The first unit I purchased was defective after all. Bought another one and it's perfectly quiet, with only a gentle click from the thermostat. Absolutely zero noise from expanding and contracting metal parts, but there is (as with ALL oil-filled radiators) some popping noise from the oil when it first heats up after being off all day, but that only lasts 3-4 minutes. Once it's up to operating temp, it's dead silent. The new one works great, and the "comfort temp" is a nice feature. That setting basically ignores the main thermostat knob and keeps the room around 65-70. I use my heater in a poorly insulated bedroom w/ attached office, the total area is 310 sqft. It works great for this size room, but the lowest temperature it's seen so far is 17F. We'll see how it does at -30F this winter.

PERFECT!
I am used to using the hot air blowing space heaters. This radiator heater is a whole new amazing experience. First it is QUIET! Second it gives me a bone warming heat. I can't explain it other than that. It is much more warming than the blow heaters. Third, and most important, my cat loves this heater. She sleeps right next to it. I don't worry that it's too hot for her. She couldn't do that next to a blow heater. I like this so much family members have bought the same one. Do not hesitate to buy this radiator heater.

As a one room heater...
As temperatures dropped toward freezing in southern Florida this year, we purchased two of these heaters. I opted for these oil filled heaters over the well-rated ceramic heaters due to concerns over drying the air out too much (some of the ceramic reviewers noted this as a drawback). In the end, while perhaps less than ceramic, the wife and kids seem to feel these dry out the air too. Not a lot, but noticeable. Both heaters arrived quickly and undamaged, but we quickly determined that one of the heaters had a rhythmic clicking about every hour or so. After having the clicking dance wake me up about every hour throughout the night, I called the manufacturer. They said the clicking was not normal and that the unit was defective, and this is where I really like Amazon. I boxed the unit back up, visited the Amazon website, selected UPS pickup right at my door, and two days later the defective unit was on its way back to Amazon with barely any effort on my end and at no cost to me. Simultaneously with the return, I opted for Amazon to send me a replacement unit, which arrived within about three days. No double charge to my credit card since Amazon had my old unit within the allotted 30 days. As for the units themselves, they work great and are very quiet (just a single very subtle thermostatic "click" every now and again when the unit triggers for heat). My father-in-law bought a fan heater from Lowe's a few days before I got these, but took it back because it was too noisy. My wife told him we ordered oil filled heaters from Amazon and they were quiet. He came down to look at what we got, and ordered his own from Amazon. The units emit more than enough heat to keep any of our individual bedrooms warm, even with the bedroom door left open. I left my daughter's room closed for a couple hours to warm it up before bedtime, and when we opened the door, it was way too toasty (her room is about 12x12 with an adjoining bathroom that is probably about 7x7). The unit certainly helps larger areas, but don't expect it to heat a 25x25 area up to normal room temperature when outside temps are 30s or 40s. Having said that, I was happily surprised that our 25x25 living room space never got below 65 with just one of these heaters running in a corner. So it will certainly keep any room livable and comfortable. I gave the unit four stars, but admittedly not giving it five stars was difficult. It is a compact unit sold at a very reasonable cost. It is easy to set up and operate. It is quiet and will keep you warm (but be patient, because it takes a little while to get things warmed up). I didn't give it five stars because, while it is constructed well enough, it's certainly not built bullet proof. The other reason is the unit's very singular and limited role (i.e. it doesn't have options that might make it more versatile). But it's precisely these demerits that undoubtedly provide for the reasonable price, hence my five star dilemma.

The Best Oil Filled On the Market
Works great! I shut my heat off at night when I go to bed so I'm not heating the whole house when I'm going to be in only one room all night. Heats my master bedroom up almost too well! I have to turn it down a bit. Saves me a ton of money. Very well built and reliable. Second one I've owned. The first one lasted for years. I wound up giving it to a friend who had no heat from a stingy landlord.

Well pleased
No smell when using, unlike perhaps some new heaters. It has foldout feet; no assembly required! The most annoying feature, in fact the only one to me, is the comfort temp button. This automatically adjusts the temp at 68-72 degrees as I recall. Hey, that's a "Green New Deal" energy saving feature. Not everybody is comfortable a that temp, and I will not be bullied into using it so I can "fit in" with climate change activists! That's what the thermostat is for! If I want it warmer,I'll turn it up, and if I want it cooler I'll turn it down! So which is more important, your health, or saving a buck or two on your heating bill? Otherwise, I am pleased with the quality workmanship. Some say the room warms up slowly. This is inherent in it's design. If you require instant heat, get one with a fan blowing over resistance strips. I like the quietness of this type. All in all, a great heater that is well worth the money.

I have to start off this review that the heater works GREAT came with FAST shipping and INSTANT setup. It was early December, there was a particularly nasty cold spell over my area, a week-long stretch of -5° C to -15° C (23 F° to 5F°) lows. I was living in a two bedroom Condo with lots of windows and excess heat from the building. Up until then, the heat hadn't been on since LAST winter so the gas line was shut off. Before December I thought we could make it through, tough out the cold but it was hovering around 15° C (60 F°) inside for large parts of the day. That's where the Delonghi came in. Obviously, this wasn't going to heat up the entire Condo but for my modest bedroom, it was PERFECT. The unit is simple enough with 6 temperature settings (1-6), three power settings (Min, Med, Max) and a Comfort Temp mode. I don't think the power/heat settings need much explaining but I'll talk about ComfortTemp later as it took me awhile to figure out. You can use it instantly after flipping the wheels down but I HIGHLY recommend TEMPERING the unit. --Tempering, simply enough has you crank it up to the highest heat/power and leave it running for at least 6hours outside. The manufacturer had a coating on the unit to prevent rust, and every time you heat it to the max there is a very distinct smell. You are letting this coating melt off so and will get rid of the funky odor. --Comfort Temp is a smart feature that has the unit save you power ($$$$) by automatically adjusting the heat of the unit to your desired temperature. First, you have to find the temperature you want your space. Set the heat to 3-4 and patiently wait for it to heat (these are not magic, be patient, it takes time). Once you're warm spin the dial down (counter-clockwise) until you hear a *CLICK* and no further. Voila, it's set and the unit will turn on/off to keep the room at around this temperature. I went from wearing three pairs of socks, thick PJ's and blankets to comfy shorts and a Tee. The unit works so well, in fact, I found myself turning it down on more than a few occasions! -----RECAP----- -This thing gets HOT. Not enough to burn you but accidentally walking into it you'll jump! -EASY&FAST setup. -Temper your machine. Otherwise, there'll be a smell. -ComfortTemp automatically adjusts heat to your desired temperature. -Use common sense, this won't heat up a very large space a bedroom is perfect. -Efficient. I had it running ~14hours a day for two weeks and saw a modest increase of maybe $25 on my bill (Ontario rates).

Excelente, tarda un poco en calentar toda la habitación, pero logra mantenerla caliente toda la noche. No hace ruido y tampoco reseca el aire.
