Skytex Photography Bulb with Remote - Excellent Value!
- Easy to Use, Remote-Controlled Lighting-Inexpensive-Hot Heat Sink I recently made a short video review for these thSkytex LED Photography Lighting Bulbs, and I think they are an excellent value. As a garage amateur, these bulbs have helped my lighting setup as fill. The ability to seamlessly switch between white, warm, and cold light with the remote is nice, allowing me to adapt easily to various shooting conditions without jiggling a fixture or reaching for a cord control, etc. The remote functions smoothly for adjusting both brightness and color temperature, although I did notice that the button clicks can be audible in my video recordings. Nonetheless, this is a minor drawback considering the overall performance. The bulbs themselves are bright, and the ABS construction feels sturdy and reliable, but they can probably break it dropped on a hard surface. I just bought these because I broke one of the spiral florescent type... Plus, the E27 base compatibility means these lights fit standard sockets without hassle. Value for the money: I think it's an excellent value. Fit: Regular socket, but not small cheap work clamp type reflectors, you need the next size up. Heat: Get tohot to touch, exercise caution and choose appropriate softbox and monitor. For anyone in search of an affordable and versatile lighting solution, especially beginners, I wholeheartedly recommend these Skytex LED bulbs. They are a budget-friendly option that delivers outstanding results, and the two-pack is an excellent deal. I hope my initial experience is helpful!

A great upgrade
We have two soft boxes with old lights fixed temperature lights. I wanted to upgrade but the budget won't allow for a complete upgrade. So I tried these lights and I am impressed!! Not only temperature but brightness is controlled with an easy to use remote control. I've used them for still and video photography and the quality is outstanding. I love being able to adjust the look of a scene by changing the temperature with the remote. It's standard threaded and fit my fixtures perfectly. Even at 100% white, they don't get hot either. I like tham.

Nice, except each remote is not dedicated to each light. One remote affects all.
They are great. Light and a variety of brightness and color temps are available. I bought two, and the only issue is that as far as I know, each remote controls both. Meaning you cannot set them to different settings easily. So now, I usually turn on one first, as a secondary light, adjust the white balance and brightness. Then I turn the other one on, defaulting to bright sunlight. I have to move it away or slightly cover it. Any further adjustments with either remote affect both lights. Kind of frustrating.

Brighten things up
Use it as my main photography spot light. Light quality is prefect. Dimming. Multi-color. Working on 3 years of use.

Extremely Bright and Versatile Bulbs for Pro Photography
The brightness is outstanding, and the adjustable color temperature gives me total control for every studio setup. These bulbs fit perfectly into my E27 socket, making installation a breeze. The tricolor options allow for stunning variations in lighting, whether I’m shooting video or stills. I noticed zero flicker and perfect consistency, even at lower levels

One remote is enough
This at the brightest I can find, and I think one remote is enough great size and I’ve been using them for more than a year. No complaints. There works great.

It’s perfect for my needs. I do toy photography, and it’s really nice to be able to dim the lights. I love that it comes with a remote. I highly recommend it if you’re doing any type of portrait or YouTube videos where you’re filming yourself. I also purchased one for my friend who posts videos of him playing guitar on TikTok and YouTube, and I set this light up as one of the lights for him. It has drastically improved his video quality compared to using a ceiling light. Anyways, I definitely recommend it. It’s cheap and it works.

If you are looking for shiny, bright affordable studio lights, look no further. Don’t even dare look straight at it in its full capacity cos it’s as bright as the sun. I am going to see how long these lasts and if good, they will definitely be my go to! And the remote controls, sweeeeet!

It is bright. Those who complain about its brightness, I assume they were expecting a studio class brightness which this obviously is not the case. I use them for regular daily lights in my room, and it is bright for this. Previous bulb I had before was Philips' 1600lm bulb, and this one is not as bright as that. I'd assume it would be somewhere between 1000~1400lm range. (It does get bit brighter in the white - around 4400k - which is the case for most bi-color lights). If you are using them for photos / videos, I think you can get away with small product shots or portrait shots with lighting very closely to the subject. But if you are looking for professional performance and looking to close down the aperture to ~8, you will find them lacking. For the record, I use this for video zoom calls, and with my camera set F2.8, shutter 1/48, iso800, with the light bouncing off the wall and ceiling, it is plenty of brightness to work with. The biggest thing I think this light lacks is ability to save previous setting. If it had that, I'd have given 5 stars. For now, it will reset to default color / brightness whenever I turn off / on from the wall.
