I appreciate the cost for the phone I picked out having such a great reputation and quality functions. Unfortunately, I had a problem with the phone and if I was in a different situation, not dealing with caregivers, nurses, doctors, PT"s making appointments constantly every week for my 93 year old mother's condition, I would not have been so upset. I wanted to pick out another phone, but I really liked the Galaxy J42 5G. Once the Amazon Representative, caught wind of that, Amazon convinced me to return the phone and have it replaced by the same seller. Amazon told me to think about giving the seller another chance to make it right. It is so important to have a way of communicating with mother's condition, I was not sure I could wait for the replacement phone delivery and what if I had a problem again. I agreed with Amazon and confirmed I would send back the phone immediately and wait for new phone. Amazon said to me that they would take 100% responsibility if the I had a problem with the phone. I saw that the new phone was ordered and shipped before they received the first phone. I am so glad I waited. I love the phone. And, when I went to plug in to charge, it showed 95% charged, which I smiled knowing before the phone was sent, someone made sure I would be happy. I put in my sim card and never had to set-up carrier information. It worked instantly and I have not had any problems and I am enjoying the connection, the speed of the phone, the touch of the phone. This product, though refurbished, has a massive defect where a strobe flash of light emits from the whole screen like an old school camera flash at pretty regular intervals. It's blindingly bright, good thing my daughter isn't prone to seizures. I bought it as a birthday gift so it sat unopened for longer than the return window, but this phone is unuseable in a lot of ways. Problems with the software functioning. Connectivity issues, dropping from wifi randomly. And on and on. Nothing but problems. I've purchased refurbished plenty before, and there is always some little quirk we accept for the cheaper cost. However this last one, as I said, is unuseable. My daughter went back to her old cracked screen phone within a week. Such a disappointing birthday experience. Won't be buying refurbished from here again.

first thing: it doesn't work with straight talk. if you put a straight talk sim inside you get text and call, but nothing else will work without wifi, including maps. it's a good working phone, very nice, good display and good sound. fingerprint was frustrating to set up but once done it works but you can only have up to 3. it heats up when charging, but other than that it's a perfectly decent phone and it's worth your money.

I’m really happy with this Samsung device. The screen is bright and clear, the battery lasts all day, and the performance is smooth for everyday tasks like social media, calls, and videos. The camera takes good photos with nice colors, especially in daylight.The design also looks modern and stylish. For the price, it’s definitely a solid and reliable phone. Highly recommended!

I made this purchase for my teen son who has a concerning inability to protect electronic devices from damage. This phone worked (continues to work) perfectly. There is no evidence it's a renewed device. I'm happy with my purchase

The microphone works intermittently. When it does work, it’s fine but when it does not work, I have to borrow a family member’s phone.
