great quality
Got this in the mail with another couple blades I ordered from the same company, and I have the same thing to say about this that I said about them: Blades came essentially as shown. I've been pretty much staring at them for the past couple hours, and while I have found one or two small blemishes to file away, the Damascus patterns are beautiful art, and they have me in absolutely no rush to put handles on them.

Good blade, good price !
A lot of people asking if this is real Damascus steel. Yes it is. I have many Damascus blades and it appears to me to be as genuine as some of my expensive American blades that I’ve purchased. I believe that it’s Pakistani, but they’ve come a long way in past few years. I wouldn’t want to use it as a pry bar or a hatchet, but then I would never use ANY Damascus blade for that. Just my opinion. If your looking for a good do-it-yourself hunting knife, this would be a good consideration. The sheath in the pics was made by me.

Beautiful Damascus for hanging on a wall. Would lose if tested on Forged In Fire.
First off, it has beautiful Damascus, better when held in hand than in photos. That said, the handle will not fit the hand of any adult, male of female, but I always intended to modify it anyway. More irritating, mine also came with a warp of about 1/4 inch when lying on my bench. The blade handle is fairly hard, as I found while enlarging the tiny 1/8 inch holes and adding a fourth hole to pin on a brass pommel but I'm not going to risk bashing it on anything either.

Exquisite detail! Long dagger with a short handle.
When I saw the item it appeared to be a small Roman gladius in the scale of a pugio dagger. Seeing the Damascus steel composition combined with pre-drilled tang pin holes and including a hint of ancient culture I had to try it as a new project. Once it arrived the hilt piece arrived shortly thereafter and fit nicely. I've bought some purple heart wood 3/8" thick 12"x4", Plan on making the handle pieces longer than the tang as it feels too small because of it being sized down from a sword pattern (I'm assuming). I'll include a picture once I get it all together but so far I am 100% pleased with the blade. Exceeded expectations.

Good blade
Nice blade. Looks better than a lot of them I have seen. Smaller than I anticipated, but will still be fine for my application.

Lovely blade, great value
First one I received, I had to return; the blade itself had a noticeable bow and the guard was drilled off-center. However, the second one arrived only a few days later, and looks great. For this amount of money, it's a steal.

Kinda like a scaled down Gladius for tiny hands
This is sort of an odd piece. For the $, you get a beautiful damascus dagger blank that has the look of a scaled down Gladius. Unfortunately, also scaled down is the handle length. You'll have to have hobbit sized hands to wield this one. Which leads me to my second issue: This blade failed the file test miserably. It is not hardened (or not hardened properly). This will make it easier to cut away the tang on the pommel end to put a proper set of scales on. (however: standard sized scales will be too small for this project). Hey, you weren't really going to trust your life to this during the apocalypse, were you? Hang it on your wall, looks beautiful!
