Mallet Finger
This device works very well. I work in healthcare and am constantly washing my hands. I do not have to worry about getting this device wet. The aluminum/blue foam device gets wet and causes wet skin breakdown when worn for long periods of time. The only complaint that I have about this device is that it rides right across the site of my injury (see photos). That often results in slight swelling and more pain. Also, I felt that the device needed adjustment to better straighten my finger. So I tried several methods to heat the plastic and bend it into a better shape. I even tried boiling it. No luck. The shape seemed to stay the same. Also, I measured my finder as instructed, and ordered a device. It was too small and I had to order a much large device. Not sure if I did the measuring correctly. So pay attention when sizing.

Lightweight, egf
These splints are incredibly lightweight and effective. They are comfortable to the point that I forgot I was wearing a splint

Wonderful Concept; Wish it Held My Pinky Straight
I have to wear a splint 24/7 for 6 weeks. I refuse to go that long without washing my hands or hair, so a waterproof splint is a wonderful thing. I may have ordered too big. It's hard to measure my pinky accurately since the tape won't curl that tightly, and I thought I was between a couple of sizes that would be covered in the mid essential range. However the 4 still lets my pinky curve, enough to comfortably type. I'm trying to undo a contracture that is bending both joints in and locking them and while my pinky cannot be fully straightened, it can go straighter than this splint makes it go. For now I've stuffed some tissue in under the loop ends to help (removing that for shower time). Now as to what this does right: It blends in very nicely with my skin (having just one color option isn't fair to people with other skin tones but at least this hue works for me). It's lightweight, and strong, and perfectly fine in the shower other than getting slick with soap so I have to be careful not to slip it off. I can sleep comfortably with it on. When it's dry it stays on quite well. It's making my typing a little clumsy but not impossible like the giant wad of tape my doctor put on did. It reaches from finger base to ball of finger tip, unlike many splints I've looked at which would allow the tip to bend. I chafe a little under it and will be relieved when I can stop splinting my finger but it's only an inconvenience rather than a nightmare to have it on. I just wish it had a flatter curve so my finger would be pushed straighter. The pack came with a card saying to email support if the fit was still not quite right, which I did two days ago to explain the issue and ask if they thought a 3 would work (I don't want to blindly spend 18 bucks on the three-pack holding the 3 just to test). There has been no reply, and I am ordering a custom item from Etsy instead.

Too small. Sizing directions aren't right.
I followed the sizing directions and ordered accordingly. It sized as a 3 and so I got the 2,3,4 sizes but none would fit on my middle finger. I put one on my pinky finger though and I think I'll really like it when I get the right size. I'll change my review stars if I like it once I'm able to use it.

Reduces finger joint mobility so finger has time to heal.
I have self diagnosed ;) trigger finger in my thumb. It was extremely painful anytime I bent my thumb and it was waking me up several times a night. I started by using a bulky thumb brace and graduated to just bandaging my thumb before I found this item. The BraceOn EZ finger splint provided relief as soon as I put it on and was extremely easy to use. I was able to continue going about my day with very little discomfort in my thumb. I wore it 24/7 for the first 5 weeks after I received it. About a week ago I started taking it off of my thumb for a few minutes at a time throughout the day until I felt like I needed to put it back on. Yesterday and today I’ve been able to leave it off most of the day with minimal pain in my thumb. My thumb is not 100% yet and I’m still careful with movements that require using it to tighten things, but it is significantly better. I plan on wearing for as long as I need to because it is just no big deal. PROS: Its very comfortable, I forget that I am wearing it most of the time. Unlike bandages or splints you can leave it on all of the time without worrying about it getting wet or dirty. You can easily change its position on your finger simply by turning it. It does was a bulky brace or splint does but is much more comfortable and far less obtrusive. It successfully immobilized my thumb joint so that my ‘trigger finger’ had time to heal. CONS: The cost is a con if you are thinking about it in terms of what you get. But if you think of it in terms of what it does, it’s probably worth even more money. TIP: If you decide to take it off of your hurt finger for awhile just slide it onto another finger, like a ring (I use my middle finger). That way you won’t misplace it, it’s barely noticeable and it will be readily available if you want to slide it back on to your hurt finger.

These helped my mallet finger!
I injured my finger back in Oct. 2021 (typical mallet finger injury) and nursed it with many different splints over the course of a month and half (including the aluminum ones with the blue foam stuff). Nothing seemed to help, not to mention that the material they were made of got dirty and the foam fell apart really easily. Additionally, the foam would stay wet, was uncomfortable, and useless after a few days. I initially liked that these splints were simple, lightweight, and discrete (I got tired of people asking me what was wrong). This finger splint was very comfortable to wear and I did not have to remove it to wash my hands, etc. Within about 2 weeks I noticed a considerable improvement in the finger and after a month, the finger was nearly back to normal. Unfortunately, I stopped wearing it since it was getting better, so I never reached 100% "normal", but I believe that had I kept using it, my finger would be completely healed at this point.
