**4.9 Stars: Excellent Performance with Minor Concerns**
The abode Cam 2 has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and features. This 2-pack indoor/outdoor security camera set offers full-color low-light video, motion detection, and two-way voice, making it a comprehensive security solution for my home. The video quality is outstanding, even in low light, and the motion detection is highly responsive. The two-way voice feature is clear and very useful for communication. Setting up the cameras was straightforward, and the WiFi connectivity is reliable. The only minor concern is that the cameras feel a bit cheap, which makes me worry about their long-term durability. However, time will tell if they hold up well. Despite this, the performance and features make this a great value. Highly recommended!

Abode cameras Dont buy unless your already bought into the Alarm system.
Abode has the worst cameras. All 4 power adapters have failed within a month (they did replace failed again) . The software detection zones does not work and the people recognition cannot pic up someone right in front of the camera. They need to invest in a new camera supplier and not these cheap ones. I would return them but I already have invested into the Abode alarm system which works great. If you get a camera that will not say ready to connect don't waste an hour on the phone with tech service just return for a new one . I did buy 2 direct from Adobe and the did replace the faulty one for free. Abode has great customer service just this camera is the weakest item of their lineup.Update - One of the replacement cameras now quit working... So all 4 power adapters broke and 2 of 4 cameras quit working within a month of use.

Three Cameras Working Flawlessly with Iota System
I am using three Abode Cam 2 cameras. Two are indoors, and one is outdoors.I have yet to have a camera drop its connection or needed to reboot. However, I do have a robust mesh system and am wondering if that is why I have not experienced the issues others have mentioned.Compared to my older Foscam outdoor camera (which this replaced), the image and video feed quality is noticeably better. I also have two outdoor Blink cameras, and the Abode is quicker in picking up movement.I do have the Pro level monitoring for my Iota system, so I don't know if that gives me more options in tailoring my notifications compared to non-subscribers. I have notifications turned on only when my alarm system is set for Home or Away. They will also automatically start recording if my alarm is tripped, which is handy. For a cheap camera, these are decent, and the outdoor one has held up well in some nasty winter weather. The only thing I wish it had was a longer USB cable.

Good camera, needs to be plugged in at all times
Easy to set up. (5 steps) do have to pay for motion detection (6.99$ per month) does have live video for free but will not tell you when someone has invaded you’re home or unplugged your camera. Night vision is really good can see everything still, camera not too big but not too small, app works really good. Do need to stay connected at at times

Promising, but major reliability issues
Update: Support eventually got back to me (2 weeks later) and remotely updated my camera's firmware, which solved all problems below except for Safari compatibility. I would probably give this 4 or 5 stars otherwise, but the extremely slow support response is disheartening for a security company with a monthly subscription service. At least let me update the firmware manually!--Pros:- Impressive image quality and low light performanceCons:- I cannot manually capture video clips or images. Any attempt to do this results in an error “Video Capture Failed. Try again or if the problem persists contact support.” I have tried several times over the course of a week or so, and never had success.- The camera has dropped offline 5-10 times in the week or so I’ve had the camera enabled. When this happens, I also get a notification that the gateway is offline, but the gateway is not actually offline (I can still reach it remotely to arm/disarm.) The only way to get the camera back online is to power cycle it via unplugging the USB. Immediately after doing this, I get a notification the gateway is back online and the camera works again.- Live video does not work from the Safari web browser. It just remains stuck at “Finding Stream”. I’m using Safari 14 on a Mac. It works in Chrome.- The time on the camera feed does not match the locally set time zone (the “LIVE” time shown under the video feed in the app is correct, however).- Person detection doesn’t work. I’ve never been able to get this to trigger, regardless of the system state (away/standby).- Muting or adjusting volume of the camera audio feed doesn't seem to workI’m running gateway version 0.0.2.23D_s2_t4, camera version 4.60.0.28, and iOS app version 5.3.5. I’ve tried checking for a firmware update but the ‘Check for Device Firmware Updates’ button in the app does nothing.I contacted Abode Support a couple times over the last week via their support email to see if they have any suggestions before initiate a return, but all I got was an automated response with no assistance.

Device failed after 3 months, customer service sent a replacement after online trouble shooting.
The Abode Cam 2 worked well initially but failed after 3 months of use. The camera lost connectivity with our LAN and will not reconnect. Another Abode Cam 2 we purchased subsequent to this one is still working normally on the same network. Customer service support via their IOS app was/is unavailable for some reason via their app.Update: June 10, 2024After much online troubleshooting Abode replaced the defective camera at no cost. The new one is working good so far. The AC Adapter provided with the first two cameras both failed after about two months of service. I replaced both with generic adapters which have been working OK, so far.Update Dec 5, 2024The replacement camera also failed after a week of use. After much troubleshooting with customer support, they eventually sent 2 new cameras each of which failed to connect to a 2.4G network. Apparently, this item is no longer available in Amazon, which is just as well since reliability is near zero.
