Really excellent product
I’ve many ghee products. Tin Star is by far my first choice. The flavor is consistent with each jar. It has a deep flavor that compliments anything. Grilled cheese with this ghee always has a nice crisp exterior and the flavor blends well with most any cheese. I use it to stir fry and it’s performance with high heat cooking is amazing. I’ve baked biscuits with coating the iron skillet with the ghee and the bottom crusts are consistently crispy which I like. I’ve cooked steaks in my iron skillet with this ghee and the crusting is amazing as well as adding good flavor. It’s overall performance, taste, and texture are my top choice.

Taste
Have tried a few others and this by far the best in taste and value so far. Great in all frying processes so far. Very good for steaks, chicken breast and pork chops.

It’s okay
Before I begin my review, I would like to preface this because it’s important to include the fact that this was my first time purchasing ghee from any company. I’ve always made my own ghee or clarified butter. I guess I was expecting this to taste very similar if not identical to what I’m used to. In my opinion, this tastes nothing like ghee. Yes it’s true that homemade almost always tastes better than processed, but I was expecting only minor inconsistencies. It tasted old and it was really grainy. It does, however, cook things perfectly well and can reach high temps without smoking. If I ever purchase more ghee from different brands and find they all taste the same, I will change my review. For now, I give it 4 stars because it is a great oil, just not very tasty to me.

The Best Ghee on the Market
The longer we use ghee, the more knowledgeable we become. Tin Star Ghee has an excellent texture that stays solid in the heat of summer in the house. Great flavor, excellent for high heat cooking.

Have tried sooo many ghee products over the years from across the country. I love Tin Star Foods Grassfed Ghee and cook with it almost every day. Even tastes yummy right off the spoon.

Rancid.
At first when I received the ghee I though it had previously melted which can change the consistency of the ghee. Upon further discovery I put some ghee on my toast and it immediately turned white and then I looked closely and there’s white pieces on the ghee which indicates that it’s rancid. Ghee will loose flavor and turn stark white when it starts to go bad. The flavor was mild and didn’t smell bad but the white is very greasy. It’s not a good product and we are unable to return. So bummed I wanted to love this ghee. You’re better off spending the extra money for better quality.
