Great product overall! Easy to hold and utilize to spread leather conditioner on furniture. Size is great because it’s thick and able to spread product on furniture quickly. While it does shed, the directions provided with the brush give detailed explanation of what to do to minimize excessive shedding during use of product. Only complaint / question would be care of brush to keep in good use is not provided (e.g., washing with soap and water after using a product with it, proper care overall, etc)

I am extremely happy with this purchase so far: The build quality is excellent. Bristles are strong, yet pliable and I've experienced no shedding so far. They are held together by an extra thick metal band to minimize any shedding. I love the extra long handle - longer than most chalk brushes I've used. It definitely helps with fatigue when I'm painting I also appreciate it because my hands are on the larger side. The leather strap is a nice touch. I can hang the brush up to dry when I'm finished using it and I don't have to store it in a drawer. I came across this randomly on Amazon while I was looking for something else that was related and I feel fortunate that I did. I'm amazed that Featherline is selling these at such a low price. This brush is of as good or better quality than other brushes I've purchased that easily cost me 2-3 times as much. I'm thinking of picking up a second brush soon in case prices go up. I've only painted 2 pieces of furniture so far so I will update this review down the line if I experience anything that changes my opinion of this brush. As of right now, it's an excellent quality brush at an outstanding price and will be my new go-to brush for chalk & wax painting.

I love working on my refinishing projects, it’s my own personal escape from life for a bit. I have found that these boar bristle chalk brushes really do make a difference in the final results. In the past, when I was working on some of my bigger projects, I had one brush that felt really uncomfortable in my hand and I kept losing bristles, especially after several uses (nothing says "fun" like plucking hairs out of your wet paint all evening...). So I was really hoping to find a higher quality brush that felt comfortable in my hand when I’m working on larger pieces. Seriously, I am so happy I found this one. It seems like they really put some thought into the design and shape of the handle, and I’m so glad it fits my hands as well as it does. The little leather strap makes cleaning and drying super easy, and I’m relieved that the bristles seem to hold up over many uses. Overall, I am extremely happy with this brush and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a great value and strong consistent results across a variety of project types. Go for it!

I was on the fence about buying this to wax my chalk painted dining set, but it was better than i expected! Good quality item with dense bristles. I even accidentally forgot to wash it for 2 days (oops!) and when I washed out the product and let it soak overnight it came out good as new! A few bristles came off initially, which were easy to remove, but less come off with repeated use. Overall, it loses way less bristles than I though. The handle is good quality and it works well with Minwax, which is what I bought. It also gets the nooks and crannies when applying.

Nice brush! I am new to the "Oval" brush style but have used quite a few brushes in my time for lots of projects and this one is a keeper. I like the attention to detail and quality they put into this brush. The Boar Bristles are very good and they didn't skimp on glue to hold them in place. When I first use a new brush I always ruff them up a bit, in a nice way, to remove any loose bristles. Nothing more irritating than having bristles left behind. To my surprise I only broke off one. They mention in their description that it has a longer handle and for me I would not want it any shorter, plus the leather thong does makes it easy to hang up for drying and storage. Great price for a quality brush.

Nice brush. Quality is good, but not perfect. I was still picking stray hairs up off my project every couple of minutes.

After using cloths / rags for years for applying furniture wax I finally bit the bullet and bought a decent waxing brush and I wish I'd done it years ago. This is a revelation in waxing furniture, not only is it a lot faster and easier BUT it gives far superior results compared to rags. I know these brushes aren't exactly cheap but you do get what you pay for and so far this has been worth every penny. Definitely buy another

the bristles from the brush was coming out everytime I worked with it , the product fails to make my job easy....

I bought one of these brushes in November and another one in January as I upcycle furniture and use a lot of chalk paint. I’d previously said how delighted I was with the brush and thought they were superior to expensive branded brushes I’ve bought in the past, however, £40 for two brushes I kinda do expect decent quality. Unfortunately they are not wearing too well! I look after my brushes and always clean and dry them appropriately but they have started to lose bristles during painting and are looking a bit bedraggled. Still a lovely brush but disappointed that they are clearly not going to last as long as I expected. Dropping down to three stars!

Got this to use with chalk paint on furniture, worked very well. After painting used to apply the wax finish very pleased with end result, Was worth buying.
