It can be used on all hair types including fine. This rich formula provides renewed softness, manageability and shine with extraordinary color protection.

Which is good for gray hair and for heat protection?

I think grey hair would look pretty brassy if it absorbed the color in this shampoo. Originally, I purchased it to extend the time between coloring and to brighten my blond, which was getting dull. It did enhance my blonde, but did not affect my roots or make it practical to extend the time between. Grey hair does not usually absorb color very well, so if you are determined, I hope it works for you. As for heat protection, I think any good hair product would provide equal protection.
