Coastal Scents Blush and Bronzer Palette (PL-080)

So I got a sample size of the highlighter/blush duo from this Coastal Scents Palette, in my Birchbox subscription! At first I was disappointed because I have natural blush and never used highlighter before.. But this is exactly why I got a beauty box. So I can try new things without paying full price. I am definitely a luxury beauty kind of princess, but I can't afford to spend a lot of money on any cosmetics I might not enjoy. I was pleasantly surprised with the highlighter. It is now in my everyday makeup use. Will not leave the house without this highlight on! The specific highlighter I am talking about is the 4th one down, starting at the top going clockwise. To be honest, I was blown away by how BIG this palette was. I was expecting it to be about the size of my hand for some reason, that was my assumption. Now that I know the full size 19.95$ is not an outrageous price, like most makeup is priced. For how much makeup you get, its a good deal. I was holding off to buy this until my sample ran out, but cyber Monday came and they made it 10$, so I obviously had to jump! I got lucky because its full price again. I almost made myself buy two, but I'm glad I didn't because this palette will last me a very very long time! I'm not familiar with contouring at all and I was thinking I might as well try it out since I have a full pallette made for contouring. I know I can go on YouTube and find tutorials, but I just would have appreciated it more if this came with a little square of paper that could give me some general guidelines on how to... Or suggestions for each shade just something. That's one critique I can give... I know that probably sounds crazy since contouring is now the trend and "everyone" is doing this, but it would have been helpful for me, especially for this specific palette. I kinda tried contouring today without any tutorials and I looked like a joke! But even if contouring, blushes and bronzers are not for me, I will still say that the highlighters are worth it. Plus I have used the blush as a contrasting eye-shadow I'm sure I can do that with the bronzer too. I own a Z Palette (magnetic palette) and if I end up using just the highlighter I will probably be attempting to depot this palette to save space. I've Googled depotting this palette and have come up with nothing. I think that is note worthy and if anyone is interested in depotting this palette without damaging any of the pans, ask about it above and I will let you know. I've become quite the depotter! I know this long review is ridiculous but I notice that there are no other reviews so I just wanted to give as much information as possible. I think that this is a really good deal at 20$ for how much makeup you get. It really is quality! I just bought a Becca Highlighter in liquid and powder form which is a very high end expensive brand, and I just have to say that the Becca is not near as good as this one. I can't put my finger on why this is better. When I put the Coastal Scents highlighter on it looks like my face just came from the spa, dewy and bright! With the Becca highlighter, it makes my face look greasy and sweaty! I just don't get it. I'm not mad because Becca is way more expensive. When I first tried the highlighter my self-esteem went up by a lot and I'm not joking. I'm a mommy that's gained weight, I don't like leaving the house because I just don't feel attractive anymore but this made me feel like I was 17 again for a day. I came back down to earth now but I still love the way I look. If you're not sure you can buy the smaller version palette for half price. Its my favorite! I have dark brown hair and hazel eyes. My hair is long and curly. I have light medium skin tone with acne scars and rosy cheeks. My all time favorite beauty look is natural with light eye shadow. I want people to have to guess if I'm wearing makeup or not.

Wow ! Very impressed by this palette . It’s way bigger than I expected it to be . Beautiful creamy colors and very pigmented. Great for the price . It will last me all year . !!

Got this palette on sale for less than $6 thinking is would be a very small palette but is huge!! An amazing product, great formula and blendability. I can easily use this on my whole face, even as eyeshadow. It has matte and satin finishes. Will definitely be using this a lot. Update: it’s almost been a year and this has been my go to face palette. The contour and bronzer are great for an easy neutral eyeshadow look and they work great on the face as well!!!

I received a sample and decided to buy the whole pallet. The pallet itself is much bigger than I anticipated. Great colors and shimmers. Docked it a star because it's a little too big to fit in make up cases, but that's my only complaint!

Ugh my review was accidentally erased. Here we go again. I thought for a sec about giving four stars bc of the lack of mirror but the make-up it self redeemed that. Great, huge palette so many options. Has all the essentials and so much more. It's really very fun and great quality. Must have moderately cool tone contour, 3 matte blushes and 1 shimmer (beautiful), several bronzing and highlighting mix and match options. Something for everyone! Love love love!

The blushes are so vibrant and blend like a dream. Medium skin tones would get the most use from this palette. Highlighters are soft, and very glowy.

It is so beautiful and well made. The palette is huge which I love because I thought it was going to be smaller for some reason. And the pigments and the color scheme is beautiful
