Great Keyboard
Update 1.5 year later: Keyboard is still going and now I only using it for gaming. My only complaint is that my spacebar key has gotten rather loud. When I'm typing with this keyboard and I hit the space, it's so loud and almost sounds like there's a janky spring in there recoiling in a cruddy manner. Other than that, it's still going strong and the rest of the keys aren't too loud. It finally came time to say goodbye to my Corsair mechanical keyboard. The ICUE software that Corsair products require is absolutely junk. I HAD to have the software running for my headset to work with Discord, but running the software kept randomly disconnecting my keyboard, rendering it useless despite hours of troubleshooting. I know and love Redragon and I'm on a tight budget right now. I got lucky and the Shiva keyboard was on sale, so I snagged one up. I have no regrets in buying this keyboard. Quality: the keyboard it's not too heavy, but feels pretty sturdy. The cord is braided and feels tough. Sound: very quiet for being a gaming keyboard. It's sound is pleasing and not deafening for those I'm in discord with. Feedback/feel: the keys feel smooth, but also give a little feedback that feels similar to a mechanical keyboard. The responsiveness of the key presses is lightning fast. Appearance: this is a nice keyboard to look at. The RGB lights are easy to adjust to your liking and the instruction manual gives clear instructions on how to do it. The magnetic wrist rest is also nice and visually appealing. Overall impression: I am quite pleased with this purchase. It's not too big or too small. Fits nicely on my desk and looks good. This keyboard is used for work and gaming and does great for both. I have been using Redragon products for years. I have owned an Impact M908 MMO mouse for several years and it's quality, comfort and affordability are great. I added the Anvil GS520 speakers to my setup about a year ago, and their sound quality are pretty good for the price point not to mention super easy to use and nice looking on my desk.

Super Nice Keyboard!
Based on the price, I figured it wasn't much to brag about but liked the white which is the color of my new gaming rig. Anyhow, I was very very surprised at how nice of a keyboard this is. I came from an expensive corsair gaming keyboard and this one simply blows it away in every conceivable way. To date, this is the best I've had. I plan to order a second as a back up when this one eventually bites it. Keystrokes are like butter, key surfaces are contoured just right to pocket your fingertips and the layout of accessory controls is perfect. The lighting, which is adjustable in multiple ways is excellent with evenly distributed LEDs inside to highlight the keys without apprarent dull areas as far as I can see. WELL worth the price.

Perfect non-mechanical keyboard
I purchased this keyboard because I am long time fan of the consistent quality I receive from Redragon products and I was in need of a non-mechanical keyboard for my girlfriend as she doesn't enjoy the clicking of a mechanical keyboard, yet does enjoy the feeling of typing on one. This keyboard is a perfect choice for anyone that is looking to get that mechanical like feeling without all the noise. It is very quiet to type on and the keys provide a good amount of resistance as if you were typing on actual mechanical keyboard (might be a bit heavier resistance than my k580). Apart from the keyboard itself, I did have some issues adjusting my typing as they put the 'G' keys on the left side instead of top like some of my other boards. I kept making mistakes at first when typing, but that is something that is negligible once your hands are adjusted for the keyboard. Another thing that I do not count against this keyboard is that there are less options for color animations. The led's are bright and beautiful, but you only have about 7 options of setup compared to my other boards that had up to 18. This is understandable though, as unlike my mechanical boards, the leds on this board are not individualized to each key, but rather share 1/6 of the board at a time. If you use the customized lighting configuration (which is poorly explained how to use in the manual), you will see that after activating it using Fn+PgUp, you then use the Fn+(1-6 keys located on the top row only) to set each sixth of the board to a specific stationary color (And then locked in by pressing Fn+PgUp again). Because the leds are limited to sections rather than each key, there are clearly restrictions that limit amount of possible animation configurations. For me personally, I was not bothered as I only use the option that pans the rainbow across the board anyways. The last thing to talk about is the palm rest. It is hard plastic with a very nice texture and Redragon logo in the middle. It does add much needed comfort to this board as I found it sits higher up than most of my other boards. It is very to remove as well. The palm rest is magnetic (look at pictures). There is nothing special you need to do to attach or remove it. Just line up the rests magnets with the boards metal tabs and it hook right on and won't pop off on it's own. Removing it is as simple as just pulling it off. Overall, I think this keyboard is perfect for those who enjoy a mechanical feel, but either don't enjoy the sounds of a mechanical board (or have family that don't like hearing it). This board provides excellent performance and responsiveness that I always happy to see from Redragon.

A strong budget keyboard with excellent features, but a few trade-offs to note
I recently picked up the Redragon K512 Shiva RGB Backlit Membrane Gaming Keyboard for my setup and it’s been a largely positive experience. The full-size layout, the RGB lighting, the detachable wrist rest, and the dedicated multimedia and macro keys make it feel like a premium keyboard without the high price. The 7 preset backlight modes (plus customizable slots) give it enough visual flair, and the key feel is comfortable for everyday use — whether typing or gaming. Redragonshop +2 Micro Center +2 Here’s what I really liked: The build and the feature set are impressive for the price. The keyboard includes textured plastic, good keycap legends that don’t feel cheap, anti-ghosting support up to 26 keys (great for gaming) and the wrist rest adds a nice ergonomic touch. REDRAGON ZONE +1 The typing feel is smoother than some other budget membrane boards I’ve used. Though it’s membrane and not mechanical, it has a “mechanical-feel” feel in the sense that it’s responsive and doesn’t feel mushy. Software support and macro keys give it flexibility—once I took time to configure them, they worked reliably for my shortcuts. That said, there are a few drawbacks, which is why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5: Because it’s a membrane keyboard, you won’t get the same tactile feedback, travel, or sound profile of true mechanical switches. If you’re used to mechanical switches, you’ll notice the difference. Even the manufacturer hints at “mechanical-feel” rather than true mechanical. Amazon +1 The build is good, but not flawless. The wrist rest is detachable (nice), but some reviewers noted that in intense gaming sessions the feel and sound are just okay — not elite. Also, minor flex in the board under heavy key-pressing was detectable in my experience. If you’re going for ultra-quiet typing, the key sounds are reasonable but not as muted as higher tier boards. In summary: If you’re looking for a stylish, full-feature gaming keyboard without spending mechanical keyboard money, the Redragon K512 Shiva is a very worthy pick. It delivers excellent value, solid features, and good performance in its category. If you want true mechanical switch feel, or minimal board flex and ultra premium build, you might want to spend a bit more.

Perfect!
Its great for the price! I love the lights. They kinda flow. Super pretty. The wrist rest is magnetic and detachable. It is good quality for the price definitely It is a bit noisy so if you dont like that this prob isnt for you, i like the noise level though personally. Its a good weight, heavy enough to stay in place but easy to slide if you need to adjust it on your desk. The size is nice too. Not too big not too small. It functions really well. Ive had it for a couple months now and have had 0 issues with it. It is easily compatible with most pcs. Easy to use just plug n go.

BEST KEYBOARD EVER MADE. PROUD TO USE RED DRAGON PRODUCTS.
update: 12/5/2025 I bought 3 mice and a back up keyboard today. (all Red Dragon) MY M901K got hit with green tea this morning and can no longer use mouse scroll. Super sad been best mouse ive used ever. Ive been on PC since 1998 so that says alot. I feel actually sad because ive kept it like brand new all these years. I use it every single day playing games for almost 10 YEARS - (from amazon page- Last purchased Feb 4, 2015 ). I had a razor naga prior to that that lasted one year and was twice the price. I tell everyone about red dragon, discord i play in is full of red dragon mice and keyboard users because of me talking how great that are. ## if there is somewhere i could send it to be repaired i would as this mouse has sentimental value to me at this point. ### This morning I bought 3 more M901K and two M908's for gifts. I also have Red Dragon Speakers, and several keyboards, I tried to find a trey table mat for my mouse and keyboard that was Red Dragon but i need 14 H x 19 W inches. Love this company. update March 2022 - HAVING SAME ISUES AFTER FEW MONTHS. march/2022 was super good customer service of red dragon to send me a second keyboard. As i am a huge fan of their company and put their links on all my social media and my twitch page. But this keyboard just is a lemon it feels like. Did some google searching and many issues with it. Same issues as below after few months of use. I've kept it very clean and dry, still looks like new as i use it next to my racing wheel. I love red dragon products and hate to give a bad review so makes me sad to report my finding with this board as it keeps losing power and working intermediately. I connect another keyboard that came with my pc (also lighted on ijust like look of the red dragon one better) the old one works fine. Wish i could report a different outcout just going to have to look for a different keyboard. Good luck. (no issues with my red dragon speakers or16 button mouse or other mouse and keyboard on my other pc both red dragon) dec 24 update... i received brand new keyboard just now. WOW amazing customer service. I own a pretty substantial gaming social media site (which they have no knowledge of) and always have recommended this company and even at one point asked them if I could be a distributor because i love the products so much. I even have there logo as part of my desktop screen on my pc. Also put there logo on my simulator race cars. Everything ive bought has lasted for years under rigorous use daily. Thank you!2 Getting this in the postage after posting the issue bellow really was an amazing surprise and fantastic customer support. Thank you. I tell alot people about products from this company. I have 2 keyboards , a mouse and speakers. but this keyboard it broken. the backspace key does this - ( \ ) which is seriously annoying. Its less then 3 months old.

Very Impressed
Great lighting control, and easy-to-follow instructions. I was worried as I have problems with light sensitivity in my eyes. This is a soft pink light on the 2nd to last setting and it's perfect for me. Even though it does show a deep purple in the photos. I didn't need to do any software uploads. I have a new win11 and I just plugged it in. The buttons are deep, soft, gel-like, springy, and quiet. I love that about the keys, but the keys are slightly further apart so the light comes through more. That is a quarter in the photo to help show you the key depth and space. You don't need to tap them very hard for the key to stroke. Very quick to respond. The wrist rest is amazing! Love that because the keys are so deep and spread apart the wrist rest puts your hands at the right height and angle for typing. The keyboard and wrist rest have a good weight to them. They feel very well made, not cheap or flimsy, and with a secure magnet hold. The cord that attaches to your PC is not wrapped in plastic, it's a nice cotton fiber wrap. Very pleased with my purchase and hope it lasts a while. One note...the space bar does echo the spring sound sometimes when you press it. lol!

Lasted a year until...
I've been using this board for one year. It has held up okay with some creeping & escalating issues. The keys have a decent travel if you like that. They have somewhat of what one might refer to as; comically bouncy aftertouch. Across the board, IMO, the keycaps are loose and mushy, no true mechanical joy here. The RGB is just okay, more of an irrelevant gimmick. For myself, best used with a dimmed static pale color for dark room access only. The programmable and media keys function as intended with some quirky setup methodology in the utility. This is a big one for me: The 'G6' macro key is located way too close to left Ctrl; I inadvertently slice-actuate it with my sasquatch lugs constantly. I've had to disable G5 & G6 in the utility. Lastly, one year in: The spacebar now makes a terrible and irritatingly noisy "Boiiiiiing" cartoon-like spring switch sound when actuated/released. Imagine your door stop spring (at the baseboard) and your cat on caffeine have a slap fight. 95% of spacebar actuations create this wicked noise. Additionally, several other keys on the board have become much looser, and sloppier than when new. It's a bargain board, 'nuf said...
