On my bike, I could not attach the battery to the water bottle mounts. If you are putting shark battery on a home conversion ebike, go ahead and order the Double or Tripple Bob. You will be glad you did! Very easy and secure mount.

I added a 48V 20 AH Hailong battery to my rear rack of my Ebike and it fits great. I had to use smaller Hose clamps which I purchased seperate, but it worked like a charm. Battery holds firm and there is no noise or vibration.

You can't go wrong with Grin stuff. Those young engineers in the great country to our North and really on top of E-Bike kits. Not my first purchase from them and surely not my last.

I’m not sure why you’re even reading a review. This thing is amazing. You need it in your life. I’ve been a bicycle mechanic for more than 25 years. I’ve been messing around with electric bikes for around five years now. This is by far the absolute best addition to any electric bike that uses a water bottle style bolt on frame out. Or if your frame has no water bottle style mounts. I am using this on a surly karate monkey with a 52 V 17.5 hour shark pack. Mounting this to the bike with just the mount it came with is not secure it wobbles and is not in steel high confidence. The bike I’m using it on actually has three water bottle bolt mounting holes, so I was actually able to mount this using all three bolts and did not have to utilize the band clamps. However, if you need them, they are there and will make the install insanely secure. Or the really nice part. If you don’t have suitable mounting locations, these band clamps will offer you an ultra secure mount for your electric bike battery pack. Seriously why are you still reading? I have a bafang mid drive on my surly cross check with. 17ah batt. But the original mounting bracket that came with kit allows batt to flop, or have a bit of play, when I hit bumps, potholes. For a long time I used a voile strap to keep it tight but have finally upgrade to the professional solution that is Triple Bob. I did have a few issues with installation, did not notice the screws provided had a recessed head and was trying to use some of my original bolts. I think since their are 3 different types of screws the instructions could try a little better but of course I figured it out eventually. The batt is super solid now Night and day difference In my opinion every batt should come with one of these, when relevant, it's just proper.design Good job Triple bob

It’s not related to this product. But I order a Bafang e-bike kit and this little bracket save me from giving me the worst headache. Anyway, this is perfect for mounting your battery anywhere you want to be. I highly recommend this if you want a more secure hold and if the battery can’t fit in the frame of the bike.

It makes the Hailong-based batteries sit very tightly on the frame and allows you to adjust the vertical position, whereas previously due to the low position of the bottle screws you'd be forced to install the battery up-side down and it wouldn't sit very snug either. The kit comes with everything you'd need when encountering different scenarios, and the materials are top notch.

I was very skeptical that this product would be sufficient to hold the battery in place without it shifting to the left, right or braking off entirely. I used to use metal hose clamps all the way around the top bar of the bike, having the battery dangle under it which held things in place very firmly. This product, I would say, works just as well (I'm using both the screw mount AND the hose clamps with rubber cover) and looks 10x better. Would recommend.
