These are plug and play straight out of the box, usuall work with both Windows and Mac operating systems without requiring additional drivers, I'm using WINDOWS 11 as no addition drivers for comparison. As mentioned above these adapters are plug-and-play, meaning they can be used right out of the box without any complicated setup. Simply connect the hard drive to the adapter, plug the USB into your computer, and the drive should be recognized immediately. In terms of performance, it's generally good for standard data transfer tasks. USB 3.0 models offer faster transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0 models, making them suitable for larger file transfers and backups. I havnt got EXACT numbers to compare it, with that said, this adapter was used for one purpose...to copy one operating system, HDD, to an SSD...which took around 1h.15ish Lastly, this adapter provides you with a small but useful LED indicator for power and activity. This is incredibly useful to your eye, in the event that you may need tronleshooting, Light ON would indicate its not a problem with the adapter, light OFF would inidicate that it could be, with that said, use common sense. This can be useful depending on your specific needs **Pros:** - Affordable and readily available. - Easy to use with plug-and-play functionality. - Supports a variety of hard drives (SATA, SSD). - Portable and lightweight. **Cons:** - Build quality may vary, you pay for what you get. This SSD is an absolute game-changer. After replacing my old hard drive, my laptop boots up in seconds, applications load instantly, and file transfers are incredibly fast. Very good quality SSD Drive. Used this brand before and the performance is A1. Absolutely perfect for my requirements and the price makes using them as an upgrade option perfect.

Plugged into the mini PCI slot on the motherboard and installed Windows 10 onto it no problem. Feels quite nippy for the age of the system. The system has 16GB DDR3 RAM and an i7 4770S CPU, and has been working well for light graphic design and video editing work with this SSD at the system drive. I don't think it has a large cache so you wouldn't want to do much shifting of large files, where it tends to drop to around 40MB/s. But as the boot/applications drive it does feel more than fast enough :-)

This is a replacement for a failed drive and i have to commend amazos delivery sreice for getting it to me wtihin 15 hours of order. Wow. Well i got it, installed it and it all works like a charm so top marks for the product which is extending the life of my daughters laptop before she goes off to Uni again. Fully compatible and great value.

Excellent ssd for old games

J'ai acheté ce ssd en mode urgence car le mien à grillé, pour installer des jeux (Steam, Ubi, Epic, EA, GOG etcetc), 1Go pour 44€ reçu le lendemain, on ne peut pas demander mieux ! Installation rapide avec la fibre, ce qui veut dire que l'écriture sur disk est bonne ! J'ai téléchargé 1 jeu de 156Go sur Steam en 18 minutes (New World), tout est dit. Evidemment je recommande ce ssd & si il me lâche trop vite, je modifierais cette évaluation.
