Pros:Ease of use.Easy to read display.Compactness and portability.Price.Cons:Yes you still have to poke yourself with a needle. I hate that part.Anyway, this is a very good meter and simple to use.

When I saw this product on Amazon I was skeptic because I had never heard of the company. But when the product arrived (same day delivery) I was pleasantly surprised. The package came with everything you needed even the batteries. Right from the start all I had to do was to put a strip in and give a sample. Read in 4 seconds. The only thing I didn't like is finding new strips. I haven't found just the strips. Hopefully that will change. But overall a great buy

I really liked this meter but found the test strips refill difficult to locate.

My a1c was out of control. The monitor I used previously was old and, as it turned out, wildly innacurate in its results. The new monitor is easy to use and it comes with a detailed direction booklet, as well as lancets and a lancer. After receiving and using this monitor, my latest visit with my doctor left her happier (she can be very stern) and my new number is a 7.2. I am confident that I can lower that number more. I can't guarantee what this utensil will do for you but it was a game changer for me.

I had been feeling terrible for months but couldn’t afford to go to Dr , the last $200 round of blood tests found nothing wrong with me and I have no insurance. I wondered if my blood sugar was fluctuating too high or low so bought this machine. Sure enough my sugar would drop down to low 50s several times a day. I monitored it several times a day for the first couple of weeks. Now I know to eat something with a little sugar/carbs when I start feeling sick and not to skip breakfast and fast like I used to. After changes to my eating habits I feel much better and this kit saved me a lot of money. I’m not sure how accurate it is but it definitely would register low when I felt sick and after eating would go back into normal range.

This machine is not medically approved/tested. Additionally, you cannot call anyone for support (except Amazon, but they are not diabetic experts), nor can you buy control solution for this machine if you need to verify accuracy. There is no website for the product nor a phone number. The manufacturer is BIOLAND Technologies which operates in China & Germany and has addresses only. DO NOT buy this machine because if you have problems you will get NO help. The last thing a person with out of whack blood sugar needs is a poorly made machine and no customer support Thanks for nothing BIOLAND.

The device works fine the only problem is I need the strips that does the blood analysis if you can find the strips please send me a note through Amazon thank you

I bought this for monitoring my body's glucose response to various foods while incorporating a low carb diet for prevention of inflammation and cancer. It is a solid kit with everything needed for a good price. Also very easy to understand the quick start instructions.
