Cleansing and refreshing. It's alcohol-free. If used consistently, then it does whiten, although one should still also utilize whitening toothpaste and a whitening pen or strips. If you haven't used this mouthwash before, then the taste might attack you at first, but you'll get used to it. Also seems to help with minor tooth infections. Rinse lightly with water after using; you'll still get the whitening effect.

... because the taste is absolutely awful. It also burns my tongue like crazy. I have geographic tongue which, for me, has given me a seriously sensitive tongue. I've been told by some that there are no symptoms or that geographic tongue is not painful, but my experience says otherwise. ANYWAY, I blamed the burn on my condition since this product supposedly does not burn. It worked well at removing coffee stains from my teeth, so I bought a second bottle when the first one was used up. Recently I made my husband use some and he whined about how badly it burned for a full 5 minutes after using it. Well, maybe it was only a minute or two, but it sure seemed like longer. So I would like to warn against believing the claim this is minty (it's not) and that it does not burn. Otherwise, it does a decent job at whitening.
