Following in the footsteps of the original Vibram FiveFingers Bikila, the new Bikila LS offers a closed speed lace system to accommodate a wider foot or higher instep. It shares the same revolutionary platform as the Bikila, featuring a Dri-Lex covered 3m Review: Durable and comfortable - Love these shoes. I have owned three different models of Vibrams, and these are by far and away the best. They fit well, the stitching is solid, and the soles seemingly last forever. I run 6-8 miles/day, and my last pair lasted two years until a small hole wore through the soles. They are also relatively attractive, or as attractive as five finger shoes can be. Much has been made of whether or not Fivefingers help with joint issues, but as a runner, I feel it's a better, more natural way to work out. You will definitely feel the difference in your calves, exercising muscles you just can't wearing normal running shoes. Review: Try'em beforehand - Low the shoes - too small is only complaint

Falling apart on me.
I've bought these shoes in the past and loved them. Well I bought the non LS version. But these shoes literally fell apart on me after barely 30 days or wear. I didn't put that many miles or use them that often. VERRRRY DISAPPOINTED. I've worn nothing but vibrams for 6 plus years. These have been the worst shoe as far as quality is concerned. Look at picture. Both sides and all toes and the sides are doing this!!

Vibram five finger bikila ls
I purchased the Vibram Fivefinger Bikila LS (Black/Green) from Footwear Headquarters via Amazon. I used standard shipping but was very pleased to see the footwear arrive in a few days. Everything was properly packaged and professionally handled. I desired to return to outdoor running and the Bikila LS (LS stands for lace system) have been a great solution. I also own a pair of the Fivefinger sprint. Those were fine for the treadmill and getting around town but uncomfortable for outdoor running as striking small rocks could be painful. Although only slightly thicker soles the Bikila LS is very comfortable on blacktop. The shoes have been a great improvement over my basic Vibram five fingers and as all Fivefinger they spread the work load across the whole leg giving you a solid feel for running. I normally do not care for a pull lace system but I highly recommend it on this model. Generally I don't tighten these much and the comfort and secure fit is excellent. I prefer the padding around the foot on this model and the grip sole. Excellent overall experience and I will buy another pair at the end of the year just in case this model gets discontinued later.

Barefoot feel with protection from broken glass and owies
These shoes are not for everyone, but if you like the nearly naked feel of a light shoe, this is a great one to wear. The materials are extremely durable and the lacing system is really nioce (easy to use and secure). I run in these sometimes, and they provide good protection for your feet, even from rocks poking you from below). I had my doubts, but these are comfortable, flexible and durable. I would recommend them to anyone. Note: They are sized in European sizes. I did a little research before buying and I consulted the chart from the FiveFingers site to make sure that I had the right size. They were not comfortable for the first several hours and a few days. After I got used to them, nad they were a little "broken in" I had no discomfort and they are my new favorite shoes. No, I don't think that they look stupid, and nobody has made fun of me yet (except my wife, but she doesn't count).
