Gatineau - Age Benefit Youth Revitalizing Oil-Serum for Face, Anti-Ageing for Lines & Wrinkles, Hydrating & Brightening (30ml)

This product boasts an innovative bi-phase formula which combines a powerful serum with all the nourishment of an oil. It’s high quality ingredients have been blended to provide advanced anti aging benefits including skin brightening and smoothing and diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. When I first used this serum my initial thoughts were “Wow!” as it is a gorgeously luxe product which stands out from the crowd. It has a lovely, rich texture which virtually melts into my skin and it feels like a super indulgent treat to use. It leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft and nourished. It provides an excellent base for the next skincare step and even if I don’t wear make up my skin has a more rested look and a healthier glow and lines are less noticeable, which is a major plus point to me. Whilst this is not a cheap product, it is a really high quality and if your skin is in need of some serious TLC this feel good serum delivers just that. I have to mark it down as it is expensive but if it were marked on the benefits alone it would be a five star product. If you are looking for a treat for yourself or for some lucky person this is an ideal product but it is far more than just a treat because it actually works!

I'm not sure if this serum has made me look younger but I can say it feels fantastic on the skin and my skin feel better moisturised,and comfortable, so therefore, smoother and it also feels less tired. The serum comes in a lovely glass bottle with a dropper. You need about 2-4 drops per use, so it does last well. It can also be used under mosituriser and make up during the day as it just glides on and then melts into the skin with no greasy residue. I use it a night and after a long, tiring day it feels lovely. The oil in the bottle is seprated in to a heavier oil and a lighter one. So you need to shake the bottle before each application to mix the two. Gatineau state this is because the serum is an innovative bi-phase formula combining the highly concentrated anti-ageing benefits of a serum with all the nourishment, comfort, and protection of an oil. With proven ingredients for powerful results, it delivers advanced skin smoothing, brightening and soothing benefits. The top part is infused with nourishing and comforting oils, while the bottom serum phase encourages cell turnover, smooths wrinkles and visibly diminishes uneven skin tone. I really like this serum. For me, price is the issue but it knocks spots off other serums I've tried.

This serum comes in attractive packaging: a sleek white and silver box, and a frosted glass bottle with a white dropper. I did find the grey writing on the bottle slightly hard to read, but the instructions are basic: shake well, then apply a couple of drops to the face and neck. The serum is easy to use (though shaking the bottle to merge the two liquids does add an extra step to your routine) and it smooths easily into the skin. It can be used under make-up and moisturiser. It leaves skin looking bright and feeling more hydrated and plumper. I'm not sure the effects are impressive enough yet to justify the price, but it's definitely a pleasant serum to use. I would personally like a lovely scent to add to the luxury of the experience, but if you prefer fragrance-free then this is for you.

At this price range you don't get bad products, but you often get ones that are a little over or under priced. This is competing with the likes of Avant (which my partner has tried previously) and Gatineau is sadly not up to the same mark. It has some of the features of cheaper products (a little sticky, and the residue leaves a sheen on your skin) which at this level is unexpected. Competing products in the same price bracket such as Avant and Von Baroness (which she has owned and come well recommended) actually justify their price, but this one doesn't. So nothing overly bad about this, it just seems like the pricing is out (too high) and you can do better for the asking price.

This is one of my favourite oil-serum fusions to date - a great infusion of hydration for dull, dehydrated skin, which is especially the case for my skin. The ingredients in this are amazing; full of hero skincare ingredients combined to give the best results in skin - my combination skin is left soothed, supple and soft with no adverse reactions, including breakouts. As far as wrinkle repair: anything that plumps and hydrates is going to support with wrinkle and fine line improvement and the ingredients in this will absolutely support with this. I’d recommend and I’ll be keeping an eye out for this brand in future. This is a pricey product, but screams luxury from the serum itself to the packaging and design; I really enjoy using this as part of my night time routine now.

Gatineau Age Benefit Youth Revitalising Oil-Serum 30ml Very good quality product of thick oil that absorbs well without residue, leaving skin with a soft velvety touchy feeling. Skin is hydrated and with a elasticity and soft. Unfortunately this product is scentless and I know this brand to have the best smell of products, so this was a bummer when I used it.

I've used Gatineau products before when I got some in my M&S advent calendar. I loved them then so was thrilled to be able to try out another product from the range. It's lovely glass bottle with dropper to dispense the product. Shake first though to combine the oil with the serum and apply a couple of drops to your hands and massage into your face. The serum is very lightweight and glides over the face effortlessly and absorbs beautifully into the skin. It leaves your face with a really fresh glow, and applying makeup to prepped skin is so much better. Makeup sits and lasts better when the skin is properly prepped. The bottle is 30ml and at about €90 it is not in any means cheap. But as I've gotten older (early 40's) I know how important it is to invest in your skincare regime. This oil & serum combination is packed full of skin saviours for maturing skin. After using this for a few weeks I can see my skin tone has improved, it's more balanced and even which I'm thrilled about! Also I feel my skin looks and feels more plump & hydrated, with a wonderfully fresh glow. I have no problems with going out on the school run or shops makeup free knowing that my skin is looking so well. So even though the price point is high I truly believe it is worth every penny! This serum sits alongside my holy grail serum (Clarins) and it will definitely be re-purchased as soon as this bottle has run out. Love this!

It's always a good idea to treat oneself with such a luxury skincare produt like Gatineau Age Benefit Youth Revitalising @ £75. It's the first time that i come across a serum where the liquid is separated into two layered inside the bottle. The lower layer is thicker and darker, which i assume is the heavier oil, and the upper layer is a light transparent liquid, which is the serum. I was a bit bewildered but reading one of the comments explained that you have to shake very well everytime you use it to mix the serum and the oil. After a month of using few drops at night time, i have to admit this has dramatically changed my skin condition. Brighter, younger and less pores. I will not dig into the price issue, because after all it's a personal choice vs options, but if one can afford it then i highly recommend it given the wonderful results i had on my skin within a month
