Matha's Gold makes a good cup of coffee for the masses. Freshness: Didn't find the coffee ground in the package as fresh as a small batch coffee roaster would have. Aroma: Brewed coffee's aroma not as good as labels like Panduranga Aroma Gold but better than most FMCG coffee brands. Flavour: It's got a distinct flavour. The level of roast on the beans is higher than medium but lower than dark. Good with milk but found it too harsh to have it black. Also, the quality of chicory used could be better. A medium roast could have been better for both use case scenarios. Value for money: Very good value for money at Rs 390/- for 500 gm Overall - 3 out of 5.

I first had Mathas filter coffee at a cultural event where they had the counter. Ever since, I wanted to have it daily and was waiting for its retail launch. Here we go and the product is now easily accessible to customers like me. This is a perfect blend of aroma and taste that I hardly saw in coffees of recent times. Defintely the best in the filter coffee category. When it rains out in the coastal place where i stay, having a cup of Mathas coffee is now my daily routine.
