Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation - Cool 3

My main priority is non-toxic when it comes to makeup, and second is full coverage (hello freckles and acne scars.) I struggled finding the right shade for me in many brands, and tried liquids and powders. This powder foundation is not only the most perfect shade for me, but I love the light feel but FULL coverage I can achieve! I am light-fair skinned with pink undertones, and the Cool 3 is the most perfect match for my skin I've ever found. After roughly 2 coats, it almost gives an air-brushed look. I also have highly sensitive, breakout prone skin and this caused no issues. Super happy!

This foundation is excellent. (I had to search for a foundation that I can use due to rosacea and extremely sensitive skin with many allergies). The shade range is amazing! The finish is beautiful - soft matte but doesn’t dry out my very dry skin. I’m so happy I found this brand.

I decided to try a mineral powder makeup because I was having eye allergy issues, turns out it was my contacts.. but I am glad I did. This powder covers I Press I let well, although I don’t have anything major to cover up. When I did have a red zit I tapped my finger in the powder and gently rubbed it over the zit and it disappeared! When using a proper brush you can buff this foundation in so it just looks like you have nice alone without make up on. I have noticed it helps to let my sunblock/moisturizer sink in before going in with the mineral foundation, otherwise it looks a little darker. I use the real techniques face brush and it works well. I ordered a flat buffing brush that had good reviews for mineral foundation but it wasn’t stiff enough to buff the make up in so the coverage isn’t as good or smooth. The key is to buff it in for sure. It also lasts all day and I work in a hot sweaty environment, with a mask on.

The color finder is just about spot-on. The coverage is just beautiful and does not settle into every little line. I have worn two days so far and it has stayed in place ever so well. I tried liquid foundations for a while and the hot, humid Texas weather just makes that liquid stuff slide right off my face, even going into my eyes. I have not experienced that at all with mineral foundation. I get all-day wear during walks in the heat and even a sweaty workout. I am so glad the blog section of the Afterglow site had this listed as its number one recommendation since they do not sell their products anymore. I have used a different organic mineral foundation powder this year and it felt like I needed to use lots of it to get decent coverage. Alima Pure requires very little powder to get nice coverage - the powder seems finer and spreads more evenly, IMO.

This is my first time switching from liquid foundation to powder foundation and I am super happy with the results! This foundation gives great coverage with just a little product but doesn't look cakey or patchy. I find that it stays well throughout the day so far! I am really happy with this product being clean and good for the skin. I am looking forward to seeing how it continues over time!
