Exactly what I needed works well

I use these in one of a few different T5 hanging lamps - either 2-bulb, 4-bulb, or 8-bulb. The application is for sprouting seeds in a nursery environment (like a small 'grow tent'). These are the bulbs I like for any germination, they work awesome. The spectrum seems to be spot on. Honestly, I do not use the 8-Bulb lamp because I used LEDs once out of the nursery.

UPDATE (September, 2017): Both of the Vivosun bulbs that I actually received in working order have completely stopped working. Not just dim, but dark. They didn't even last 6 months. I have had them on 14-16 hours a day over the summer, less in the winter. Stay away. I strongly recommend you spend a little more for the Aquatic Life Hydroponic Bulbs, 54-Watt T5 HO 6,500K Cool White Grow (4-Pack) Made in Germany. Barring one instance of shipping damage, the Aquatic Life bulbs arrived in good shape and are still going strong after 6 months. They are also brighter and have a more blue light. (All the bulbs are in the same fixture, by the way.)ORIGINAL REVIEW (March, 2017): The bulbs were packaged in a strong cardboard tube that seemed to have survived shipping. There were five paper sleeves that should each have had a bulb but only 2 bulbs! There were shards of what seemed like one more bulb that was broken. Where were the other two? Perhaps in dust at the bottom--I did not want to dig through the shards--but it appeared that only 3 were shipped.The two that arrived seem to be in good working order and much brighter than the 1-year old bulbs they replaced. And receiving two out of five in working order is an improvement: I ordered four more expensive, special spectrum bulbs at the same time all all arrived broken Aquatic Life Hydroponic Bulbs, 54-Watt T5 HO 6,500K Cool White Grow (4-Pack) Made in Germany (but at least there were clearly 4 bulbs shipped).UPDATE 3/26/17: I reordered the Aquatic Life bulbs and all arrived intact. They were actually much better packaged than the VIVISUN bulbs They were packaged by Aquatic Life, not Amazon, and it was clear that the damage in my first order of Aquatic Life bulbs was due to rough handling by UPS. In contrast, the VIVOSUN bulbs were poorly packaged by Amazon.Once installed, the Aquatic Life bulbs were clearly much brighter and bluer than the VIVOSUN bulbs--even though both are supposed to be 6500K. The Aquatic Life bulbs are clearly higher quality--worth the extra expense.

Item packaged well in a tube. The box was opened as pointed out by the delivery driver. Item works well and is as expected.

1 year later, 4 out of 5 bulbs are working. They're timed for 14 hours a day so that's 5110 hours per bulb and only 1 failed. Some other suppliers I bought from....all the bulbs have failed within 18 months. I grow herbs and these work great!

Very happy w these, always had to order light bulbs thru the mail I’ve received so many broken ones in the past, but these were packed very nicely in hard cardboard tubes also bubble wrapped inside of those, yest still very easy to unwrap and install, really happy w this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. It’s a relief to find a replacement T5HO fluorescent lightbulb. I’m glad it fits on the aquarium light fixture.

4 of 5 bulbs died within the first 4 weeks. I have them on 14 hrs/day so maybe I got around 400hrs out of them. Used for starting seedlings for the garden, I had to buy replacements just to get thru the 8 week growing season. Color spectrum appeared nice, brightness was good, shipping was good. Just not a quality product unfortunately. Cannot recommend at all.
