Good. but not essential
Good book, but more adequate to read and check things out when we have time to do so. When the ward work is done, for instance, and we do need to make those adjustments and clear some doubts. Not the best friend for a day at the ER - it's not practical in that way, but the overall content is high quality and good learning material. In conclusion - it's not an essential, but it's a good addup for a medical library :)

Very usefull
Wel, if you're any junior doctor, med student or just stareted working in a ER, this is an absolutely amazing tool. Indispensable actually. It covers the most frequent pathologies and cases that come up in the ER and most of them have a clear picture of what you need to do. Always divided (each disease) by "Assessment, Management, and treatment". Cardiac, neurological, dermatological, nephorology, etc so if you are going start tomorrow, be sure to bring this book with you. Very good and very straight forward.

As a medical house officer, this book has been very handy in the emergency room. Up to date with medications and procedures used in acute medical situations. Practical situations are not exhaustive, but covers most that are needed in the acute setting.
