Awesome backpack
I bought this backpack before a big trip out west. I was using it for multiple purposes - as a carry on item for my flights, as a day pack as I explored local towns, and as a hiking pack when I was out in the wilderness. This backpack held up perfectly for all uses. I purchased the black color and I got compliments everywhere I went, from the airport to the town. It's very stylish and could be appropriate for professional purposes as well as outdoor use. I love the compartment for my laptop - it fit my macbook pro without any issues and my macbook felt safe and secure. The backpack is large enough to pack quite a bit in, but not so large that it looks too big/bulky for a small person. The drawstring at the top was handy and it kept everything in well. There is a zipper for the small pocket which was great - I kept important items there like boarding passes and keys, etc. The pocket on either side is large enough to store a normal sized water bottle or a good sized book without any issues. The straps on this pack are awesome - super padded and comfy enough not to hurt your shoulders after a long day hiking or a super long day at the airport. This backpack is really attractive and so far very well made. I definitely recommend it.

WOW....WOW....WOW
Let me start off by saying that I spent two weeks literally looking for the perfect backpack. I am a mother of 3, and needed something that was going to be a combo between a laptop bag for work, and a diaper bag! I was skeptical about any foreign products like Kaukko, but I was beyond amazed when I received this backpack. I figured if I didnt like it I could return it and spend another week looking for another one, but thankfully that was not the case! This backpack is just the right size, not too large, and not too small. It fits my 17" laptop comfortably, along with diapers wipes, and water bottles for these hot summer days! I wasn't stoked about the red striped interior but it has grown on me! The straps have magnets so they dont come loose and things dont fall out accidentally. The straps are extra large, and there is pads on the bottom and the back of the backpack so it is super comfortable! I purchased the black and brown combo bag and I will soon be purchasing one for my son to use for school. The quality is unmatched, and worth the cost! Its super elegant, and anything in the local stores would cost twice as much! If you have any questions for me let me know, as I use this bag on a daily basis for the past three months. I have posted pictures of the bag on my computer chair for size reference, and detailing on the inside and the outside of the bag.

One year and still very reliable! Great product
Kaukko Laptop Outdoor Backpack, Travel Hiking& Camping Rucksack Pack, Casual Large College School Daypack, Shoulder Book Bags Back Fits 15" Laptop & Tablets (Nblack 2pcs) These guys have great customer service and will get back to you if you have problems. I really love this bag because it's built tough. I thought it was going to fall apart within a few months (my experience with others) but this one is just like day 1. The price and value is so worth it and I wish I can buy all the colors. The color is beautiful and stays the same and it's been a year. No stitching has came off during this review and looks like will hold for at least another year or 2 PROS: Large compartments You can fit a 17" laptop in the laptop sleeve Smaller pockets in the inside to fit a wireless mouse and small misc items Large pockets to fit a those typical gym blender bottles Outside pocket easily fits pens and has a zipper so it doesn't fall Straps and the "backing" area is soft. CONS: A button fell off but they took care of it ASAP which is why this is a 5 star vs a 1. I took this to a lot of my travels through the airport etc and it works well. It's been wet and cleaned with no visible damages. I spill soda on it and good thing it's black, but even then I don't see a stain mark. I will buy this again. I also have the small case which I didn't need but came with it. It's great to keep cash and small items. Can't really go wrong making a small pouch LOL.

Looks great, pretty cheap quality.
I give the seller major props for the efforts they put into their product description and "company background" to make them sound like a fashion brand who has been designing products for years. In reality they are just another China brand selling a Chinese product that is a knock off of one of Hershel's styles of backpacks. This is obvious from the packaging, which was the backpack in a plastic bag, tightly rolled into a condensed ball and taped together. That being said, you do get what you paid for, and I mean this in a good way. Of course if I spent $70-100 on a Hershel bag, I would expect a great construction and thick canvas. Spending only half that, I would expect half the level of quality, and that's how it came. I don't feel ripped off or anything. It's a nice looking bag, but the linen is very thin and light and does not feel like it would withstand much wear-and-tear like a normal backpack with a densely woven material. The straps are also obviously fake leather but they look fine. The magnetic closures are pretty strong, which worries me because many other reviews say these are prone to coming detached. Also, don't waste the extra $1 on the pencil bag. It's just a thin piece of linen sewn to a zipper with no structure to it. The interior of the bag has the same pattern as a Hershel but it is a very thin synthetic/plastic material. If you reach into the base of the laptop sleeve and manage to pull out a few fibers, you'll see the interior is made of plastic fiber strands. The arm straps are thick and padded but it's a very light airy padding that does not feel sturdy, but it does the job. Overall, if you just want a bag that looks like a nice Hershel bag without paying the full price, you won't regret this. I bought this bag and MUCH higher quality tech bag for the same price but could not decide which to return, so I kept both. This one looked stylish but was cheap, the other was pretty plain but was insanely superior in quality, from the build material, the padding throughout the entire backpack, the additional padding around the laptop sleeve, the high quality straps and zippers, the water resistance, etc. I use this Kaukko bag for clothes on weekend trips and the other if I want actual protection for my laptop and supplies.

If you're traveling and flying, get this bag!
I bought this bag (NYLON GRAY, with pouch) for a week long trip to New England. I didn't use it as my only luggage, but I could have, that's how much room there is inside. The bag feels very rugged, durable, and well-made, and it looks very high quality. The zippers and snaps feel very sturdy. The snap closed tightly, but I didn't struggle to get them open. The inside is striped red and white, and I love how it looks in contrast with the gray. It's very comfortable as a backpack, I had no issues wearing it though the airport and onto the plane. It was a breeze to get through security, since the drawstring closure makes it easy to open and close the backpack. I used it as my carry-on, and it fit perfectly under the seat, even though it was stuffed full. Inside, I had my travel pillow and blanket, a change of clothes for both me and my toddler, tons of snacks, and a bag of travel toiletries. I used the side pockets to hold my water bottle, my wristlet/wallet, and boarding passes. It was so convenient. I love the little pouch that it comes with. It's great when you don't want to use or carry your purse. You can just pop your necessities in here - credit cards and ID, chap-stick, phone, keys, hand lotion or sanitizer - and be on your way. The strap makes it very convenient. I can't rave enough about this backpack.

Great Quality
My son is using this backpack for the third year in a row. It has held up really well and still looks great. Unlike the Jansport backpacks, which needed to be replaced yearly, they always get a hole in them wear the book corners sit. This was a good investment.

Great Backpack! Holds up well over time.
I bought this backpack almost 2 years ago and I use it every single day as my EDC bag. It's stood up to the test of time and travel. I'm in a band and we travel often, I take this backpack with me to store all my belongings. I even use it as my carry on when flying as it's the perfect size. It stows away under seats with ease. The rucksack design allows it expand where needed so it holds more than you would think it could. There is nearly no wear, tear or damage after all this time except for some paint/finish chipping off of the buckles (pictured), otherwise the bag has held up great. The cushioning on the back is still soft and the straps have held up nicely and not torn or thinned out. There are several elastic loops on the end of each shoulder strap that are useful for clipping keys onto, holding sunglasses or a pen. My only real complaint with this backpack is there aren't enough internal pockets for my liking but I make due by using small zip up pouches (like packing cubes) to carry loose things around so it's not a huge deal. There's just two thin slip pockets sewn into the side of the bag that stay open so sometimes things can drop out of them into the bottom of the bag, making it hard to retrieve them quickly. This backpack has stood up to rain, sleet, snow, extreme heat and sun and proven to be very reliable. My suggestion would be that if you're expecting excessively heavy rain while you're out with your backpack is to cover any laptops or other belongs you don't want to get wet in a plastic bag inside the backpack as heavy rain will soak it eventually. The bag came with a matching pen roll that I absolutely love and holds a decent amount of pens and highlighters and markers so it makes up for lack of pocket storage space. Overall I am happy with this backpack and I would suggest it to friends looking for something

Great backpack
I use this for occasional trips into town. I can stuff a hat, my computer, a lunch, a couple books and have plenty of room left over. I'm not even getting close to capacity here, but I am not looking for a home away from home on my back. This is not a serious backpacking pack - it does not have the ability to put the weight on your hips rather than on your shoulders, but that's not the point - it's a great short haul pack. I love the weathered canvas look to the outside. It is well stitched, so it is strong, but it also does not scream "this is a $500 backpack, please consider me to be a prime target for a mugging". It looks nice enough, but it does not have the "designer" feel to it, more a utilitarian feel. I'm well past university age, so not many people my age are wearing packs in town in general, so I don't really want to look the part of a rich dude, since I already stand out a bit wearing this thing. So if you are looking for a fashion accessory, look elsewhere. If you are looking for something to take on your two week hike in the wilderness, definitely look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a modestly priced backpack that will allow you to comfortably carry a fair bit of stuff so that you can free up your hands, then this is the one. Highly recommended.
