This is not at all good for tea preparation. May be good for black coffee or tea.

First, note that this is palmyra palm jaggery; and not date palm jaggery. It is possible to make that unconscious mistake from the word "palm" if you are familiar with date palm jaggery. This is a first rate product. The item arrives as hard blocks with a great smell, which, due to its concentration, has a sharp taste if you directly bite into it. To really release the flavours, use it in a dessert. We have prepared one, with thickened milk, and it turned out absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

. Palm jaggery blocks will have a tough exterior and a soft interior and it does melt in the mouth . I placed a knife in the centre and put a little pressure on it and it broke into two . My dad knows very well about palm jaggery since they used make them in his village. And he says this is a pure palm jaggery. I did notice a review about the product being adulterated. Trust me the product is 100 % pure and genuine. Even if you smell the palm jaggery it gives off a natural aroma of palm sap .

Don't Purchase anything from this brand. They have send me original smell of Plam Jaggery Sap first time when I have purchased. After that when I have reorder 2 kg Jaggery then the Jaggery is very hard and no smell of original palm sap. Beware

Pure palm jaggery. Excellent taste with mild bitterness. Little diluted but no compromise in quality. A very good and healthy replacement for processed and sugary candies sold in the market. Cut the block into bite sized pieces and store it in the fridge and pop it in the mouth whenever you have the urge for sugary stuff.
