Are cargo pockets snap button or Velcro?

The pockets will have a hook-and-loop (velcro) closure.

Do these wear or tear too quickly? Material seems thin.

If taken care of properly they can last for a long while. I wash in cold and hang dry. Material is pretty rugged and was made with that in mind. Once they start wearing a little they tend to look better anyways.
