Perfect upgrade for any 70mm EDF, and it sounds great!

Habu retrofit.
Yeah so far it’s fitting in the habu sts like it’s made for it, I haven’t powered it up yet but I’ll circle back to this to give a full review. Powered with a avian 120 6s 4000 is the plan..

Mo Powa baby!
I bought the Xfly 70mm 2200kv edf system to try and improve the top speed and shorten takeoff distance of my FMS F-18 SuperHornet. This system did exactly that and sounds freaking amazing while doing it!! I’ve hit a top speed of 133.6 according to my Spektrum GPS module which blew me away! Also takeoffs are half the distance of the factory 1900kv unit. I’m running mine on a Spektrum Avian 100a esc and a Yowoo Graphene 3300kv 100c lipo pack to get the most out of the unit. I highly recommend picking one up if you have a 70mm edf jet that you wanna wake up and make an animal out of!!

Lots of thrust
Thanks for this EDF! I really like the material the fan housing is made from. I replaced my old edf in my 70mm F-16 with this inrunner. The kv rating of this motor is 160 more than the outrunner i had in the plane. The outrunner was 2300.It sounds better too. Delivery was fast and it was packaged really well.

There’s no way this is a 2200kv motor. Poor performance.
Does not perform as advertised

High Quality
These X-Fly fans are the best. My first choice for all my electric jet projects.

Power
This EDF really livened up my scratch built rc model. I have two of these 70mm and 80mm. Will be buying more.

Buttery Smooth with lots of power
Very impressed. Price was right, fan perfectly balanced, and is faster and more efficient than the one I just replaced. Quiet and great sound, too.

Only docked the 1 star because the intake lip isn't removable. Installed this setup in an original parkzone Habu. This thing absolutely cooks on 6s. Power to weight is better than 1:1 now. Running a youme 6s 3300mAh 50c pack gets me little over 3 minutes of flight time, 4 minutes if I really keep the throttle back. Turnigy thrust 70 amp esc only gets slightly warm. Will update with real numbers once I run it on the watt meter. Video is WOT pass after about 2 minutes of flying.

Sure so much force. Not used it on a model but just in testing very good
