This is a great buy. I have recently been getting into cooking again and have found regular knives to be annoying with the sharpening. I found people using Chinese chefs knives for pretty much everything they need to do for cooking. It chops, slices, cubes, it does it all. Additionally, it has a large surface area so moving my food around is waaaaay easier than the other knife I used to use. My unit came VERY sharp. My goodness I get very excited to use this knife which is not something I can say for my old American knives. I now want to collect these types. Either way, it is a great knife to have in every kitchen. It will take some time to get used to especially if you are used to regular knives that are not that big.

This Chinese style chef knife is light weight, sharp and easy to handle when I am cutting vegetables, slice meats or chop chickens. Its ergonomic design handle is very comfortable and friendly.

Balanced for cutting and heavy to get the job done. I love it.
