Q: What is the difference between Ckinical Strength and Extra Strength?

I have been in the pharmaceutical industry for almost forty years and I can tell you that these descriptions mean absolutely nothing. These nutritional supplements are not regulated by the FDA in the same way prescription medications are. Manufacturers can make any claim they want and call their product anything they want. You will notice on the container a disclaimer saying something to the effect that the claims have not been evaluated by the FDA. I have taken glucosamine/chondroitin supplements for years and they help my joint function. The Kirkland brand is dependable and contains what it says it contains(according to USP). In study after study supplements are found to be far short of their stated ingredients so I would not buy unless they have the USP approval statement on the label. Be sure you know how many tablets/servings are required to reach the advertised content. On the Kirkland bottle it states 1500 mg Glucosamine/1200 Chondroitin but it actually takes two tablets to reach this amount. This is clearly stated in the servings portion on the back but some other brands require up to four tablets to reach their advertised content. In my use I have found this 1500/1200 daily intake to be the minimum effective amount. If you are allergic to shellfish be very careful taking these supplements since most contain some form of shellfish.

Q: Are the tablets really big?

From my recollection, I believe the tablets are about 1 inch long, perhaps 1/4 inch wide
