Great wax even on SUEDE cowboy boots
This wax worked wonderfully on all my regular leather boots. Water beads right off and adds deep color. (Left) has wax, (right) does not. Last photo has wax on the tip of the boot only. Tried them on my Justin's womens boots that have a very short suede finish. Smells good. Application is easy. Was worried it would look bad but they look great. Shiny. Waterproof. Easy to clean. Using it on all my shoes now.

Protects leather from wet conditions
Does an excellent job keeping my horse riding boots protected from wet conditions. The wax is easy to apply with a tack sponge. Afterwards, I buff it with a show brush.

Able to protect against the water but the breathability became a huge problem
After applying the wax to my Hanwag, the ventilation became a huge problem and my feet sweat a lot. Be cautious before you use it. Now I have to consider how to remove the wax cover and buy a new pair of boots.

Not a good winter waterproofing treatment...
I found it absolutely unusable is cold weather - it becomes white in any area of your boots that flex. I literally had to hit it with a blow drier to get it to look better. I had much better luck with Sno Seal.

Wow...this is a contentious issue for leather footwear. Whether to wax or not wax. The instructions that came with my boots suggested not using wax based formulae...and using water based waterproofing like Nikwax. Ok....so we can discuss this issue until the end of time. All I'll say is, I applied the G-wax onto my new boots and it was absorbed into the leather...that is a good sign. I used G-wax on all of my boots, both work, walking and dress...and they all looked the better for it. I wanted something other than mink oil which I loathe because of its origins...and I found it in this product. I think I will also buy the Nikwax and use both products. But from what I have seen...G-wax is an affordable and classic treatment for leather boots. The fact that G-wax didn't just sit on the surface but was taken down into the leather suggests it is a suitable leather conditioner and waterproofer. The price is also extremely attractive...and beeswax is legendary in terms of its antibacterial qualities and its ability to nourish.
