Reasonably good value
I have used and have high quality poles for many years over mountain trails. There is great benefit to use poles not only for stability but also manage weight on your feet/legs over time. We purchased the Foxeilli poles because they break down small enough for packing in a suitcase and we had also thought they were shock absorbing poles as advertised. They are NOT shock absorbing, maybe the manufacturer considers the cork handles as shock-absorbent? I do not, other poles have systems that actually give in slightly like a car shock absorber. The product's literature that came with the product makes no mention of a shock absorbing characteristic. In any event, for the trek we plan to take in the UT natiional parks theses poles are suitable, are well made and should survive well. They are light, sturdy, easily adjustable and well constructed. These should work well for our light duty trekking. I'm happy with the purchase.

Everything you need - great poles at a great price.
These hiking poles are lightweight (as stated) and easy to carry, but strong. Included are various tips for various types of terrain (a definitely positive addition) and the adjustment holds firmly - meaning they don't telescope back into a short pole when you put weight on them during use. My husband says they are as good or better than his, which cost almost twice the price. Can't beat that!

Quality hiking sticks
Got these for my wife for hiking. Nicely adjustable. Comfortable handle. Light weight. Great collection of bottom tips for various terrains.

Stiff and light makes for a good hiking experience.
I decided to take a chance on these lower priced carbon fiber poles after trying out much more expensive ones from boutique manufacturers. I didn't think it was important that poles were light until I tried them out and decided I liked them a lot. These come with two types of spare tips for the poles and two types of baskets. I noticed that the pole tips include a washer to spread out the force so the pole doesn't punch through the rubber tips so quickly like it doesn't cheaper models. That kind of attention to detail shows that these are quality units.

Fantastic poles, as good as Black Diamonds
I hike and snowshoe several times a week, year round. I bought these poles 5 weeks ago and I love them! I at first bought some Black Diamond Pursuit poles, retail price $170, to replace some old Lekis. The Black Diamonds were fine but slightly heavy. I bought these Foxelli poles out of curiosity, with low expectations. I like them so much that I returned the Black Diamond Pursuits. The Foxelli carbon poles are noticeably lighter than the Pursuits. I examined several carbon poles at REI and I found them flimsy and fragile looking (minimalist), but the Foxelli carbon poles feel plenty strong. The cork grip fits my hands well, but they feel a bit hard compared to my previous rubber grips. The flip locks work really well, even with mittens on. The flip locks seem as good as the locks on the Black Diamonds, and are far better than the twist locks on my Lekis. I have two complaints about the Foxelli poles. First, the strap isn't cushioned enough and the cushioned part doesn't extend the whole length of the strap, so it causes pain on the side of my hand, even with mittens. I will see if I can change the straps, which are better on the Black Diamond Pursuits. Second, the snow baskets are ugly with the black and white. I easily fixed that with a black marker! They look a heck of a lot better now. I took off one star for those two complaints. Otherwise these are fantastic poles. The blue color is very attractive.

Amazing product - buy these if you plan to hike ANYWHERE!
I just turned 50 recently and my back and weight are not what they used to be. The family is planning to hike Kilimanjaro this summer and I decided to start hiking mountains in my area to train. After my first run I discovered: 1) I am very out of shape, 2) despite this, I CAN do it, 3) I NEEDED a set of hiking poles. After searching around, I found these Foxelli Carbon Fiber Trekking Poles and saw they were highly rated. I purchased them and the rating is well deserved! They are LIGHT and extremely rugged. I am 6'2" at 280 lbs and these poles had NO problem dealing with me. They easily adjusted to my height and held that position the entire 5-hour hike. I even used them to help me stand from a sitting position and they still held their height! They are easy to adjust and have several endpoint attachments to stop them from slipping in various terrain. They also have a loop on each cork handle (which is really comfy and deals with sweat very well) that allows them to swing as you walk (should you chose to use it that way). Overall I am EXTREMELY happy with these poles and recommend them to anyone. One thing - The poles got me through my second mountain hike but when I got home I finally realized how much help they were giving me. I went to get out of my car to get some food and couldn't even stand. I never would have finished my hike without these poles!

These are great poles, but lost the rubber foot on one of them the first time I used it which was a pain so I had to buy some more. Otherwise great poles so far

This review is for the Foxelli Carbon Fiber Walking/Trekking Poles. These are fantastic quality at a very reasonably price. Being carbon fibre they are very light weight and are easily adjustable with markings on the side and flip locks to lock the sections. The grip is made of cork with a foam rubber lower grip, the straps are very comfortable and are clevery adjusted without the use of a buckle. They came with snow baskets, mud baskets, road feet, normal feet/tip covers, carry bag and a belly/bum bag. I have never had trekking poles before so took them out to some flat ground nearby and I got on with them very quickly. They will help my walking on Dartmoor and will increase my stability going up and down rough ground and crossing streams etc. They are extremely good value and I can't wait to get on the moors with them.
