My friend gave me a Patagonia jacket and said it was great, but the zipper was broken. I was honestly prepared to just wear it without a zipper because it was cute, but I decided to quickly look for ways to fix it and came across ZlideOn. I picked the right size, popped it on, and my jacket was fixed in less than 30 seconds with no tools or fuss. It even worked perfectly on a backpack pocket I tried afterward. My only complaint would be that the locking piece can be a bit pokey, but I haven’t had any real issues, and I realize this feature could actually be really helpful for things like a backpack/luggage or a tent!

Excellent product, worked exactly as needed after splitting a mattress cover in two. Easy to install and smoothly zip. Dropped a star for the extra piece of metal that stabs into your fingers as you pull the tab.

Six-month update: I lowered my review by one star because shortly after I installed this zipper, it would come apart in the middle of the zipper. It doesn't seem to zip the zipper tight enough or correctly. I have to just leave my jacket unzipped at this point, unfortunately, which kind of defeats the purpose of replacing the zipper. The zipper pull on my Columbia jacket broke. I really liked the jacket and didn't want to buy a new one, so I looked into just replacing the zipper pull. I saw this zipper pull but decided to get a cheaper (regular) replacement zipper due to the cost. I was not able to install the other zipper and decided to go ahead and buy this zipper instead. I'm really glad I did because it was a snap (no pun intended) to install. This is a great little invention. Just be sure to get the correct size and correct pull for your zipper type so it will work correctly. I got a narrow (L) size. The size of my original Columbia zipper was a 5 and the zipper style was narrow. The zipper fit perfectly. Cons: it's expensive and the one I received looked beat up (see photos). There were scratches and marks all over it. I'm not sure if that's what they all look like or if I just got a returned one. That's the main reason I marked it down to four stars. Fortunately it was only for a workout jacket. If it were a nicer jacket, I would probably return it and request one in better condition. Also, there's a point that snaps into the hole in the pull to keep it in place, which is great, but unfortunately, it's quite sharp and in just the right spot to poke my finger every time I zip up the jacket. Pros: it's super-easy to install. There are easy instructions on the card it came on. I just snapped it open, put it on my zipper, and snapped it shut. I literally installed it in seconds. It prevented me from getting rid of my jacket and saved me the cost of buying a new one. I spent $12.90 for one zipper, but to replace my jacket would probably have been at least $50. I think with a few design changes and possibly lowering the price a bit, they could make it even better. Even with the cons, I do recommend this product. It's a big time saver if you need to replace a zipper.

Saved a favorite sweatshirt from the trash. The zipper stopped zipping. There’s videos that teach you to clamp the end with pliers. Clamped the end m so many times over the years that I ended up breaking the zipper. With this replacement it works good as new! Literally takes less than a minute to install.

I was skeptical. At first, I could not open/unsnap/separate the zipper with my pliers when I removed it from the cardboard packaging it came on. But then I used the instructional video and realized all I had to do is flip the zip tag back to pinch it open for starters. Well that was easy! Then when I attempted to snap the zipper in place, I had to press hard the entire zipper clasp not just the tag to secure it in place. It worked, but in the wrong direction. So after I reopened the snap zipper, and readjusted the direction I had it on my coat, the ZlideOn zipper works beautifully. I didn’t have to remove the metal clamp/stopper at top of the zipper on coat. I was able to just add at the top of my coat and it zips down and open!! I am able to rezip close with ease. (Now the real test of wearing it and using it to see how long this lasts.) I hope it doesn’t unsnap while in use. But seems to take quite a bit of pressure to make the zipper open/unsnap. Definitely watch the instructional QR code video provided for installation. Once I tried it, it is an easy install. It definitely took me a few minutes to figure it out but not long. Hope this was helpful. Would recommend it.

LOVE this. I have been without my favorite sweat shirt for 2 years untill someone told me about these. This is a complete game changer. I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews but it was super easy to put on and works great. I did get the narrow zipper so maybe it's one of the others that doesn't work well. But the narrow zipper pull worked GREAT for what I needed.

Will need to return this but am bummed. It’s a brilliant idea with helpful videos on YouTube but I should have looked further to see that it doesn’t work when you have a two part zipper. It doesn’t line up with the bottom half. Even tried flipping it upside down (to make it the bottom half) and it still doesn’t line up. Removing the bottom half doesn’t help either because there’s nothing to hold the bottom of the zipper shut, so my coat just unzips itself from the bottom up. Thankfully this product can be unlatched easily (see that YouTube video first! It’s not what you think!). Sadly I will have to send it back and have my zipper replaced altogether. It’s my favorite coat though. :(

They worked on my 30 to 40 year old down jackets, with a plastic zipper. However, they didn’t work quite like the directions said they would. The zipper did not open up so I can. I could insert the zipper on the coat. I had to pry it open, but once on it, zips the coat open and closed however, that was the first time I ever measured a zipper, which was a weird experience. They are expensive.

Brilliant it has saved me £45 to repair even with a bit of the zipper missing it still worked with no issues. Very easy to attach. I would recommend this as a alternative to costly relairs.

Habe mir diesen Universal Zipper gekauft, da mir der Zipper meines Neoprenanzuges kaputt gegangen ist und ich keinen neuen Reißverschluss einnähen lassen wollte. Für den Preis ist es auf jeden eine sehr gute Investition, es geht sehr einfach und schnell. Die Videos, die über den Qr-Code erreichbar sind, sind definitiv auch eine sehr gute Hilfe. Der Reißverschluss geht auch schön geschmeidig auf und zu.
