Would this yarn be suitable for lightweight summer afghan?

Hello ; This yarn is exactly what you want. It would be very nice in both mild summer and spring weather. In addition, due to the 55% cotton content of our yarn, it can be used in all seasons.

Would this be good for dishcloths?

Might work ok for a dishcloth. I usually prefer a coarser, thicker yarn, though.

Does this yarn bleed into other colors?

Not in my experience. Just wash it only in cool water.
