Very Bright and well designed
Very nice and bright, used as a interior lights in multiple vehicles and they do the job, you don't need flashlight to loog for things in your car

This fits perfectly in the dome light of a 1988 FJ62 Land Cruiser
I have to say that this is the most amazing upgrade I've done for my Land Cruiser for the least amount of money. The LED bulb that was installed in my land cruiser had only two LED diodes, and that light was extremely dim. This bulb totally blows away that other light bulb! I was worried that this would not be enough light, boy was I wrong. This has totally transformed the interior look of my Land Cruiser at night. It's very bright, but not too bright. The color temp is perfect too, like a natural sunlight color. If you are looking for an awesome cheap upgrade to your vehicle, this is it.

Certainly Brighter Than Original Bulbs
Opened trunk the other day to remove rear light panel from 2000 Buick Park Ave as I had to replace some burned out bulbs. I just re-bulbed the entire panel in addition to the left and right tail light lens assemblies as well. Took 10 bulbs all the same number, why not. While I was working on the trunk area, I noticed the interior trunk lights seemed dim. Both lights worked, just seemed sort of dark in there so I decided to replace the stock bulbs with some LED lights that fit the same size as the original bulbs. I took a picture of the trunk showing the before and after difference and I must say, quite an upgrade. Several years after I bought this 00 Park Ave new, I installed a second trunk light using the same parts as the original light and I fashioned a duplicate bracket to hold this new receptacle on the opposite side of the trunk . It cast even light across the trunk but I decided to try the mentioned LED bulbs and you can see it is brighter. Another plus is the LED bulbs do not get as hot when the trunk is opened for extended periods. The lights will go out in 10 minutes on their own. What I did discover is the bulbs do not light up when the trunk is opened as did the old lamps and I found by triggering the door lock on the remote, the trunk lights up. Must be something in the LED circuitry that prevents this but I can live with this minor hiccup as I have my keys in hand when the trunk opens anyway. Research showed the OEM bulbs put out 131 lumens and the LED units put out 570 lumens each. Plenty of light, little heat and they work. Took a chance on them, happy with the result. Just one of the many little improvements I made to my car and I am satisfied at the outcome. Might re-lamp the map lights in the front overhead and the reading lights in the rear passenger areas later. Cannot state anything about the longevity as the trunk lighting is only on when the trunk is open so it is my guess they should last a long time.

The brightest warm LED light in this form factor! UPDATE: Second one still going after 4 years!
19 month update at the bottom! 4 Year update as well! First off, these things are incredibly bright for the form factor! I love the warmth of these compared to the xenon white ones (I have two friends who bought those instead, far too straining on the eyes in my opinion). At first I was reluctant to buy these for fear they would get too hot and cause the LEDs to fail prematurely as many others I have gotten in the past (other brands and styles), but this package actually uses a proper switching power supply instead of just a bunch of hot resistors! I think these should greatly outlast the other brands and styles I have used in the past, but only time will tell! For now, I am incredibly happy with the purchase! UPDATE! After 19 months of near daily use, my main dome light has failed. One row of LEDs flickers and only 1 row remain lit, the others are dead. There was no warning, it worked fine one day and instantly stopped working the next time I opened my door. I figured these would last a lot longer than the older style design (using a driver circuit instead of just some resistors), but it ultimately still failed earlier than I would have liked. -1 star for that. Overall, not a bad buy at the sub $10 price point, but I am going to spend some extra money elsewhere in hopes of a longer lifespan this time around. Another update! I did an autopsy and found that 5 of the 24 LED chips have failed. 2 are dead shorts, the other 3 failed open. The driver circuit appears to operate correctly. Looking at the datasheet for the driver IC and seeing a 0.47 ohm current sense resistor on the board, it would appear that this design is targeting around 212mA total output or around 26.5mA per chip (4 parallel strings of 2 chips in parallel, 3 pairs in series). I don't have the means to measure that directly, that is just how the math works out. Either way, with my remaining working bulb, the LEDs themselves hit 82C+ (180F+) in open air in a 20C (68F) room. Hitting 90-100C+ (194-212F+) inside a dome light housing on a hot summer day seems inevitable. I've had weeks of 35C+ (95F+) weather and I imagine those temps can quickly shorten the lifespan of this product. I think I'll be modifying my remaining bulb with a 0.55, 0.62, or 0.68 ohm current sense resistor to see how that affects the brightness and heat output. 4 year update: As per my last update, I did modify the second bulb to have about 94mOhms for the current sense resistor. Seems to have made a huge difference considering it is still working after another 2.5 years. I pulled the second bulb out of my car as it just suddenly started flickering and died after about 2 weeks. Well, I just tested it and it actually works one way around, but not the other! It is interesting that the bridge rectifier gave out in one direction, but the other direction still works so back into the car it goes!

Would buy again
Very nice upgrade. Nice, semi-warm color. Much better than the annoying 6000K super-white bulbs. Quite the improvement over my old incandescent dome light. I can actually see and find things in my old van at night. Highly recommend.

Fits well but very very bright for a dome light! Almost too bright!!

I bought these for my Ford Explorer. When I installed them, they originally didn't fit. I had to reshape the holder to get them to hold, and I am worried that a serious bump might dislodge them. Also, they are unidirectional, and I am concerned that they might rotate with the vibration. On my Explorer, you have to take down the entire overhead assembly to replace them. They are bright, but not as bright as I expected, given their lumen rating. They are only marginally brighter than the factory bulbs.
