Absolute rip off. This toy is cheap and flimsy and is not durable for children to play with.

I'm a Barbieland to the minutest detail oriented person nowadays. This is a fun hobby for me--collecting and creating the most realistic as possible Barbie everything. This dining table is perfect to seat 6 Barbie and Ken dolls, even some of the teenager or children ones like High School Musical, Skipper, Stacie. The utensils are so cute, 2 cups per place setting, a bowl to sit upon a plate and placemats. The chairs are to be assembled yourself, as well as the table and the fruit display, but it is extremely easy to do so, as there are pictorial instructions (Yay!, I'm such a visual learner). Everything in the photo is included; I like the 2 candleabras, though they're slightly hokey, it's meant for children so we wouldn't want breakables). It's a classic Barbie pink table, with nice purple accents in the bowls and plates. It's a cute little garden party sort of color setting, perfect for any collector or lover of Barbie and her accessories of any age. However, there are small parts, so maybe that age should be 7+, or you can decide if your children can handle... The silverware is very small, I reiterate. I'd say about an inch in length. This is all hard plastic, so it's quite durable, but still could be delicate, so don't like, step on it or put heavy things (obviously, don't abuse it to the point of breakage). So, yes, I highly recommend this to ages 7+, if they are careful. (I was around that age when I had one of these, surprisingly it's not that much more expensive than when I got it in the early 90s. I was too careless back then and lost all the pieces. Naturally, I had to buy it again now that I am ultra overly careful :) )

I purchased this for my daughter's doll house. It is really cute. It looks pretty, barbies can be placed on the chairs without falling off, and it comes with all the dining accessories. It might break apart easily, so use a really good brand of super glue to resolve the problem! Aside from that, my daughter loves it.

I bought this for the dollhouse, a large 1:6 scale one that we use with my childhood (miss B) dolls and my grandkids' dolls of the current generation by the same maker. I absolutely love the whole set, and although I have a couple of issues, they aren't enough to lessen my great appreciation of this set! The table is beautiful, and large enough to easily seat 6 or even more dolls. The chairs are the only bit of a let-down... the legs are so short, the dolls have to sit with their legs straight in front of them instead of bent at the knees. That makes it hard to pull up close to the table. Also, the backs of the chairs do not snap securely into the rest of itself, and tend to fall apart with any use if not handled with extreme care. Once you manage to get the doll seated and balanced on them so the backs stay put, however, it's great again. I love the serving sets with the placemats and even tiny silverware for each place! It's so elegant with my other serving wares and trays and such, and a pretty cloth table runner down the center. I never imagined that I could find such a beautiful and affordable set especially all in one box! My grandkids, aged 5-10 love this and are fascinated by the tiny plates and cups and forks. They put mini play foods on their settings & "feed " the dolls with the flatware, pretend to cut imaginary pies & cakes we make of clays, and even take turns "washing" the dishes after the meals. I'm hoping this will translate to doing as well with real serving ware as they get older; I know their mom would appreciate the help in the kitchen! This is a fantastic buy, a great play toy as well as a great teaching tool, and is beautiful and yet very inexpensive, especially for such quality! I strongly recommend anyone interested in a dining room set for 1:6 scale through possibly 1:10 scale to consider this. If you're a crafty type, it's great for customizing too! And even grannies like me enjoy it, so age is not important to who will appreciate it. And I know kids love the perfectly accurate to real life aspect of it, so it's a winner all around.

So as everyone said, it’s pretty flimsy and definitely needs glue or something to keep it together because it falls apart easily. But it’s pretty cute and looks great once you do build it. Mine came with everything as described which was a relief. It allows all dolls even the curvy and ken dolls to sit which was another relief. But it’s pretty low to the ground. As you can see by the pictures it does look super beautiful once out together. The placemats are an adorable plus but some of the pieces are not painted the best. Overall this is a cute collection for anyone who loves Barbie but definitely not the best quality.
