I see this one is a mini (12"), and there's also an 18" set -- any comments on which one would be better for a 10 yr old, or even an adult?

We have both sets - the 12" and 18" - and the 18" set seems to get more use from both the kids and the adults. For under 10 yrs, the 12" might be better, but for 10 yrs and older, I would lean towards the larger set. The smaller kids can use both hands to handle the 18" set.
