I'm looking for an led i can run off a lipo (3.0-4.2v), what's the forward voltage of these?

The LED comes on an aluminum heat sink. It has a built-in drop down resistor and is meant to run at 5V. My best estimation of the actual LED voltage is 3.37 V at about 0.240 A so you may be able to remove the drop down resistor and short it or replace it with one to match your input voltage. They work well and are cheap enough to experiment with.

I want to use this in a landcape light with 12V power, what power input does this part need? Do you recommend a small power adapter?

Most landscape lights are 12V AC. These are meant to run on 5 V DC. You could probably work up a rectifier and drop down voltage regulator, but that makes them not so cheap. There are so many inexpensive landscape LED's at varying wattage available on Amazon that you would be better off going that route.
