Chilllleeee, this stuff truly works! I had some nasty scratches and scars on my shoulders from accidentally scratching myself before trimming. The moment I applied this ointment, my open scratches instantly puckered up as if they had just been fed! Over the next few days, those scratches and scars became barely noticeable. I estimate that in about 6 to 8 weeks, they'll be completely healed. During the healing process, you may experience intense itching, so be careful not to scratch and create new scars. Honestly, I’d give this a perfect 10 stars if I could!

I burned my ring finger pretty badly while cooking steak “Iron Chef” style—lots of heat, lots of drama. Unfortunately, the scar was right on my ring finger, so it was hard to ignore. I picked up Mederma Advanced Scar Gel hoping to minimize the damage, and I’ve had reasonably good results. The gel goes on smoothly and I used it once daily as directed. It only takes a tiny amount. I did notice some itchiness during the healing process, but I suspect that was part of the skin regenerating. The scar is still a bit darker than the surrounding skin, so I plan to follow up with a gentle bleaching formula. That said, the texture and overall appearance of the skin have definitely improved—it’s smoother and less raised. If you’re dealing with a fresh scar, this is a solid option. It’s not a miracle cure, but it does help the skin repair itself noticeably. I recommend this product.

Barely started using and my scar is going away. And my scar is very big… about 10 inches. My scar is recent but it’s amazing that after 2 days I see a difference

I have 8 yr old husky who has very bad oral issues. Bad breath, tarter build up you name it. Tried numerous teeth cleaning products. Spend hundreds of dollars. Didn’t change for a thing for my baby. Just like any dog mom, I will do whatever it takes to make sure my dog gets healthier and cleaner teeth. Don’t care how much the product will cost me an arm or leg or not. I will make sure my dog gets cleaner teeth. I went on Amazon figure why not try this toothpaste out. Let me you, ( sorry I don’t have pictures, just never remember to take photos of the teeth), just by 1 week of consistent brushing, her bad breath is GONE! After 2 weeks , her tarter are visibility decreasing. ITS INSANE! This gives me so much hope. IM NOT LYING! I didn’t get this product as a freebie, I actually paid for it. On top of that this toothpaste is sooo cheap! Pawparents, give this toothpaste a try, and remember DO BRRUSH YOUR Dog’s teeth every single day! You will get results! REALLY!!!!

Maybe it's my skin type, but I'm not entirely convinced it helped with my scars. I used it on old stretch marks and two new surgery scars. Unfortunately, it did nothing for the old marks. For the new scars, it's hard to say. They're smooth, but they're still a very dark, purple color after a full year. I applied the gel three times a day while the scars were very fresh and still healing. I'm not convinced it did anything to help with the color, but at least the skin is smooth. I wonder sometimes if just keeping the skin very moisturized would have had the same result.

Several in the family had surgeries over the last several years, my self included. After stitches removed, Mederma was applied according to the instructions. The scars, some of them not even noticeable, are no longer a concern. We've just received another tube. We love it!

Well... To my surprise, the product works, but it doesn't just work, it works quite well. I don't normally review products that I often, but I feel like this is one of those where reviews kind of really count for people trying to get rid of scars. I think I had this scar for probably four or five months and I've been applying this product for about a little under a month + the trust me when I tell you, the scar was a lot more visible and you could actually spot it walking up to me. Now, you can't even see it walking up to me and I'm still haven't even reached a month yet of using this stuff. I suspect that within the next month, it'll probably be basically gone. If it was much older, it'd probably take a lot longer. So yes, the stuff actually works! Just make sure you don't put on too much or else it'll start peeling off. A little bit to cover it entirely so that it doesn't start peeling up, should do the trick. IMPORTANT NOTE: because I can imagine people who've never used this stuff might end up complaining about it. This stuff can make the area you apply it to, a little itchy. It's really not too bad, but your experience may be different. This is apparently a common thing when it comes to scar removal gels. That being said, if you experience itching, that's pretty common. Your skin will also start peeling. That's supposed to happen. I just exfoliate the area and the area and remove the dead skin. UPDATE: Dang, the scar is 90% gone. I shed a bit more skin and a bit more time later, here we are.
